Good Morning Gin. Another good episode. Really like you're narration. No Umm,,uhh, and you don't give up. Can't find if ya don't scoop! One day I'll be sitting here watching an episode and see that you found something that will be museum quality or reimburse you for all past and future digs. Keep up the good work
Thank you, Joseph. You are right about that; I’m very careful when choosing where I’m going to hunt. Steering well away from most big cities these days.🙂🍀
Wow, Lucky, yea wee missed ya!! Real nice fireworks on the beach and you know, those old pull tabs aren't used anymore, the new ones stay connected to the cans. So you'll run into them less & less. Great to see ya and look forward to more of your hunts!!
Thanks my friend!🤗. That’s a bit of good news about the pull tabs. I’d be glad to see them go, although this hunt would have been really quite without them. 🤣😂🤣
And it’s been 3 weeks since you put this out! I filed you under ‘watch later’ and lost track of you. Boy oh Boy, that pull-tab really made you work for it!
Thanks so much sweet friend. I’m so happy to finally be back out hunting. It would be great to score a nice chunk of gold before the year end. Fingers crossed!🍀🍀🍀
Nice to see you back to video making! Hair pins are the worst on the beaches! Those definitely fall through the scoop. Way to hang in there to find the rings.
Thank you - it’s great to be back.🙂. It’s easy to have determination on the days you are finding great stuff; it’s these sparse hunts that really challenge you. Once I hit those rings I’d have kept going for hours if my detector batteries hadn’t died.🍀
It's so great to see a post from u!! May have been slim pickings but a least u were out there hunting!! The 2nd time I moved to NC in the early 80's, I lived @ Carolina Beach for ~ 1 1/2 yrs. U were ~ 6 miles north of Fort Fisher (a Confederate fort during the Civil War). They use to let people metal detect on the grounds....not sure about now. Had a work associate that found coins, bullets, small cannon balls, uniform buttons....all kinds of stuff. Stay safe!!
Keep searching for that treasure. I just recently found a Triton mans wedding band and a 1974 class ring in a small park nearby. Was able to look up the owner of the class ring and return it. Enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.
I love your enthusiasm Gin! I’m taking a break from beach detecting, they scrap the beaches in Biloxi and Gulfport several times a week. Finds are scarce. I’m doing research on the historic homes that were lost along the Mississippi coast during Katrina. Most of the lots are still vacant. I’m hoping to start detecting those soon if I can get permissions and do more this fall when the weather cools off, and can get more detecting time in.
I’m so glad you told me that’s going on, Greg. I’ve been eyeing a trip down that way again but the weather hasn’t cooperated. I’d have been really frustrated to get down there and had a dismal hunt. I’ve noticed a lot of those vacant lots and wondered about getting permission. Figured it would probably be a debris minefield though, judging by some of what I find on the beaches. Still though, some of those homes were really old. Maybe you can get some and find fabulous things.🍀🍀🍀
I detected some lots in Waveland last month, right near the beach. You are correct, debris minefield! It wasn’t overwhelming, because I discriminated some of the signals once I started seeing a pattern. I dug silverware, other household items, local tokens from the 50’s, and a real assortment of things. Lots of wheat pennies and a few silver quarters. I had fun and will go back.
appreciate you sharing your videos my wife found your channel some of them look like your in our home town in Knoxville TN we travel a lot and I metal detect great channel new subscribers
Hi Gin its been awhile indeed. And well you know ya don't know what you'll find until you look treasure hunting is like fishing somtimes you get something somtimes you don't. But do keep on trying. 😊👍👍👍👍
Hi Gin so good to see your back my goodness you work so hard to find anything but the fireworks look nice hope to see you back soon take care and stay safe 😃👍👍
Yay you're back!! I have a feeling, that you are not far away from an awesome find, gold ring, maybe some other gold jewelry! You are due to hit it big!! Fun hunt and nice to enjoy the fire works with you. Good Luck!!
Thank you - it was so good to be back out. I’ve played around with other detectors at the beach, but I go back to that CZ every time. It’s such a solid workhorse.💖🍀
Glad you are back! I've been missing your videos. I'm glad you kept detecting. I've found some great items at the end of the hunt when I just felt like quitting. Keep hunting!
"Does not inspire confidence" made me laugh...ya, gotta keep on trucking, Babe.. love your videos , hardly wait to get to Arizona to use my 49.95 harbor freight metal detector..
Haha, on that quite beach I wasn’t passing any targets no matter how sketchy they sounded. 🤣😂🤣 I hope you go to Arizona and score some epic finds with that harbor freight detector. You never know!🍀🍀🍀
I just found your content I use a CTX3030 I searched for 28hours straight I started in La Jolla and I walked to Ocean Side On the Towle line between the sea weed and the wet sand on the way back I walked in a zigzag pattern I found seventeen rings and all kinds of other things the best I have ever done was on Labor Day I started at termalane I dragged my scoop in a zigzag pattern from née-deep to the dry sand I walked for 25 hours I found 18 rings a gold necklace a cardie elephant bracelet and about $200 in change they were 15 silver quarters that was the best I’ve ever done
Gin Another fantastic relaxing video Lady! Thank you for this. Most of the time it doesn't matter if you find the great stuff. I just love being outdoors, relaxing and having a good time. Peace Gin and I can't wait for your next video Lady. Peace and these are for Luck! 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀 🙌👏👏👏👏👏👍🖖✌👌🤙👋🙂
Thank you so much. I totally agree -it’s the thrill of the hunt. I find detecting so relaxing and almost meditative, especially the beach. It was so nice to finally get back out and get a hunt in. Thanks for stopping by today - you are much appreciated.💖🤗🍀
Thanks David. Those rings were super crusty, so I think maybe they’d been there a while. That towel line may have more; my detector died before I could do much on it. Maybe something good there for you.🙂. It was really nice meeting you.🍀
Hey Gin, if ever you’re in Pompano Beach Florida I can show you tips i’n finding treasure from top to bottom that is from the street down to the waterline, I always thought about doing my own channel but maybe I don’t have a face for TV lol, i’ve profited almost $1000 on jewelry and coins and have a unique perspective on where to start looking, I love the energy and the hobby, be safe and hunt well.
Thank you, George. I always love the chance to hunt with others and see if I can learn something new. I’ve never hunted that beach so maybe when I make it there you can be my guide.🙂
99% of my metal detecting is done at the beach, so I am very interested in your Fisher CZ 21 metal detector. It seems to me from researching it, that it is primarily an underwater metal detector used for diving. How well do you find it works in dry sand as well as wet or in the water? And what size coil are you using? I noticed that the control box is detachable and you wear it on your waist, how heavy is it?
It works great in both scenarios. I get some very deep targets with it. The one I use has the 9” coil; that’s what comes with it. The box is heavy, though maybe a larger person would notice it far less than what I do. I’ve tried using other machines at the beach, but always go back to the CZ. Granted, I haven’t tried any of the other saltwater machines, so I can only speak to my experience with this one.
Im convinced the lack of clad will continue due to us using bank cards etc for everything these days. Years ago I could find $20 in clad in a couple hours. I just wish bottle caps and square tabs were plastic, then id be happy.
Do you not go by the number readings? Get a Equinox 800 great machines. I pretty much know what's there before I dig as far as coin or junk. Rings and bling are usually a surprise. Keep on Diggin love ya Gin.
@@LuckyGin Gotcha if I dig everything I would end up with a lot of garbage. The parks around here are loaded with pull tabs and bottle caps. People are so lazy. With the nox you can read between them with practice.
What beach scoop do you recommend? I was thinking of getting this one on ebay. CKG Beach Sand Scoop Metal Detector Shovel Sifter Long Carbon Fiber Handle Pole
I need to ask because I'm ignorant but why is saltwater needing a special metal detector? I assumed prior any metal detector would work. I'm very new to metal detecting.
Do not do any detecting in water fresh or salt unless you KNOW the detector is rated to do so. For example, my Vanquish 440 coil and assembly are water proof but the control box is not.
That's what I call ending the video with a BANG! 🧨 Pun intended . I left a suggestion on one of your vids to get permission from your local high school to detect under their open bleachers after their home games. Have you tried that?
