I have noticed that Graeme mentions the use of slipper limpets on alot of videos. I'm from the North East of England and you guys may know alot of our coastline is very rocky and there is millions of these things on the rocks. I want to know if there is any way anglers can freeze these baits such as we do with mussels etc to store for a later date and how?

@TAFishing
@TAFishing 9 лет назад
123dangam About 10 inches would be my average. I find that gets me the better bites.Also like to pull the feeder 12 inches as soon as it hits bottom to straighten out the hooklink and place it in a little trail of groundbait.

HI Graeme, quite new to the digging for bait scene. i have been on the beach digging for lugworm and been successful, now i would love to try for ragworm. What is the difference in ground, ie i know you cannot dig for ragworm in the same place i dig for lug, so where am i going wrong, where should i be digging. Thanks
@TAFishing
@TAFishing 4 года назад
Generally more gritty for Ragworm rather than the finer open sand. Best to ask in the area's tackle shop or better still contact your local sea fishing club.

What bate do you use?
@TAFishing
@TAFishing 9 лет назад
Connor Sharod We had worms but it was half a frozen sandeel the seemed to be doing the business. I shall certainly be using half sandeel baits again in surf conditions,particularly if the surf is up with those all important three tables of water.I did a lot in Ireland years ago,Inch Strand,Brandon etc so know how the locals pour to the beaches when the conditions are right.

Nothing personal but us Yankess here in New England consider most of the fish species you guys are catching over there TRASH FISH.. If its not a Striper or a big Blue or maybe a Flounder we don't want it..
@TAFishing
@TAFishing 6 лет назад
Unfortunately we don't have a choice over here,we have to catch what is in front of us. If you travel down to Florida they probably wouldn't want to spend time catching Stripers,Bluefish or Flounders as they have the luxury of 300lb Grouper,500lb sharks,Sailfish,Marlin etc . Each area is different.
@markholbrook3949
@markholbrook3949 6 лет назад
I understand... Of course those in Florida arnt catching those monsters from the beach... . But I know what your saying.. I was just trying to show your point of view.. Which is how areas are different. ButI must admit my initial comment seems a little bit trollish.. Sorry, love your videos by the way..
@TAFishing
@TAFishing 6 лет назад
Actually they do catch Grouper over 300lbs and sharks to over 500lbs off the beach.Loads of vids out there. I have had plenty of Lemon and Bull sharks to 150lbs off the shore down the Florida Keys. Plus Tarpon over 100lbs,also from the shore at night on chunkbaits . Check out the World record Tiger Shark. Its somewhere around 1,700lbs...and wait for this...I recall it being caught from a pier !!
@markholbrook3949
@markholbrook3949 6 лет назад
Very, very unususal to catch from Shore.. I lived in Florida for 3 years while serving in the US Navy... I suppose I could catch anything in the Sea from a Beach here but that would be silly to mention or to hope for,. Good luck waiting for your 300 pound Grouper from the Beachf!! I feel my initial comment still stands. The one prior to all this silliness of 300 lb. Groupers from the Beach... Im on my way out to try and snag me a Baskin Shark from Wollaston Beach! I once saw one of the Shore there.. Wish me luck!!
