I got a few weed fins for South Padre Texas and summers in the Gorge. Works great. Slices through milfoil. 5-10cm+ with varying pitches (cant remember). One is has an "s" shape for my wave board. Turns on a dime and jams up wind. Maybe a little slower. One bummer thing with the larger weed fins is that the boom can hit it off the back of board and gets chewed up.
Weedfins are very common in the south of Sweden and Denmark I sail 90% of the time on weedfins you need almost 45degrees if there is a lot of weed. Hurricane finns and Sonntag fins are the best fins. We use 36-38cm for the bigboard, 30-32cm for the medium board and 26-28cm for the smallbard.
@@hossor123 I do have a gasoil made on custom request. Sailing on weed fin can be frustrating when you want to rail the board and go upwind. Otherwise one gets use to it.
Super interesting.... But I've got a recurrent question from kids I'm training and you (Ben) and Jordy or even other riders and coach can bring answer. How tune gear to avoid front foot going out of the strap ?
@@oscarbrogren3458 yeah, it's an option. but most of the time it doesn't solve it at 100%. Here are the clue i had from tchating about that with other. More tension on the leech, base mast forward, boom lower. But what prorider are thinking about it?
@@WindsurfingTV just to clarify snob=“a person with an exaggerated respect for high social position or wealth who seeks to associate with social superiors and dislikes people or activities regarded as lower-class.” Teasing you because you just passed in front of Nils Bach while talking to another RU-vidr.😊. Was just a tease, great job as usual👌🏼👍🏼
