Beach walks for our kids on the spectrum give a great sensory input - walking & writing on the sand! 

Welcome to all the wonderful parents of all amazing kids on the autism spectrum - Summers are here , lets take advantage of the beautiful sparkling sun providing abundant vitamin D - taking our kids to the beach' having them enjoy the natural learning with using sand for sand play, wetting their hands in the water, making castles using sand moulds working on fine motor, walking on the wet sand gaining the sensory inputs, playing in the water but always following all the rules for beach, wearing life jackets if they don't know swimming, always an adult with the kids and being in absolute shallow water and most importantly enjoying the family bond and developing social skills and life skills interacting with all on the beach - a wonderful opportunity for learnings !!
