Thank you for this! I made a new summer cocktail menu for the restaurant I work at and this is at the top of the list. I changed the ratios to 1ozvodka, 1oz coconut rum, 1/2 oz blue curacao, with a lemon or lime garnish. Thank you thank you thank you!!
Great recipe! The only thing I would change is replace the vodka for a silver rum like Don Q. I’m a Rum guy though so that’s just my preference. I’m going to try this for sure! Thanks for sharing. Malibu Rum Don Q Rum 7up Blue Curaçao
Love your videos, great when you have the ingredients listed in the top left corner of the video so I can screen shot before practicing making the drinks myself. Excellent presentation and great pace. Warm wishes. Lyndon S.
I can feel the sand in my eyes already!! I'm def ready for the beach, so I'll make this on those cold, dark winter nights!!! Great looking cocktail!!!!
i like the Blue Chair coconut rum myself. Find it less sweet. Gonna have to try this when i get outta camp. Thanks for the video..... Love me some coconut patio crushers!!!
David got himself a haircut. I was half hoping that you were just going to walk out and dip your glass into the ocean, but this delicious looking blue cocktail will have to do. Cruzan is a delicious Coconut Rum
This is a good drink!!!. Make the liquid mj I hate the name but it's good. 1/2 oz sour green apple 1/2oz blue Curacao 1/2 tequila 1/2oz whiskey 2 oz sweet and sour 3oz pineapple juice. Shake with ice and serve. Rim dip makes it better and more alcohol if that's what you like
@@boozeontherocks I use that chamoy rim dip people love it. It's called liquid marijuana but I don't like that name some people just call it the green drink lol
Look at how many views you got already and I was only two days late! Gorgeous color. I've never heard of this drink before, but we're here for it. Great job Dave.
I think this is a winner... going to choose it for my vacation cocktail coming up in a few weeks. One thing I was surprised about... no garnish? I can easily see this working in a glass pitcher as well. %-}
That looks pretty good ! Not a fan of blue curaçao myself, but haven't tried with Butterfly Blue Pea Tea yet, so for the blue color, still gotta use this ! Again, keep the good work David !
Aww.. I bet it is cold in Canada. Here in Florida it is in the 80s, and I do live at the beach, however my beach water doesn't look as pretty as your drink. 😊 always support local! Looks beautiful!
Great video David. The drink looks so good, I really want the winter to be over and we to be able to go back to the beach. The vodka you are using - looks great. Cheers!
You could but i would be very gentle with the amount of salt. Test it and let me know what you think. You could put a pinch of salt directly into the glass when making the dink.
Pop me on to my favourite beach in Maui, along with a Beach Water Cocktail, and I will be in absolute bliss!! Terrific cocktail, David!! I should check to see if British Columbia has any locally distilled Vodka! I also like to support local distillers!! This cocktail is a definite hit!! I can't wait to try it! I haven't had blue curacao yet. Is it really sweet? Thanks!
Thank you. There are a few distillers in B.C. I would think they have some great products worth trying. i would definitely go for it. But while you find one you like. Dream of your favorite Beach !!
@@boozeontherocks I also contemplated using hard lemonade in place of the sprite and vodka but suspect it would change the flavour profile unfavourably
OK. Didn’t like it. I thought it might be the vodka, which can have a heavy “mouth feel,” so I swapped it for light rum. Nope. I think it’s the coconut rum, which comes off a little bitter I think. It sure does look nice, though! Gonna try that Irish Spring next.
@@boozeontherocks Malibu. Maybe I just don't like it. But overall, I find the drink lacks "zip," for lack of a better word. Maybe some fresh lemon. I might tinker with it. 🙂
