What did they help out with a whale can survive Land the only thing that would kill it is it’s body putting pressure on its organs because it’s body was designed to be in water but they need air to survive, It’s kind of funny a little bit how People think oh let’s get the fish wet because it needs to be in water well that’s a different story for Whales people it’s not a goldfish!

@@alymeyer17 you’re wrong. While yes the splashing water won’t help with the body weight issue, it does still help keep them alive. Without any water to moisturize their skin and keep them cool they’d very quickly overheat and die. By the time officials would’ve come to help that orca it would’ve been long dead without the water those people brought.

Once again you people know nothing they can survive on land the only problem with that is their body design was meant to be in water if they are on land for too long the only thing they die of (without water) would be their organs being crushed.. which means they can survive without water because they breathe air like humans do. You’re welcome for that lesson a whale is not a goldfish it doesn’t need to be sprinkled with water because it’s on land if they wanted to help they could’ve tried to roll it over put a tarp underneath it roll it over again use a crane and put it back in the water that would’ve helped they didn’t do anything to help the whale the whale was probably vocalizing because it was scared that it was going to die

No, unlike lots of other predators, Orcas are not opportunistic hunters. Each pod has a very very specific diet, using very very specific hunting techniques. For this reason you often see videos of Orcas happily swimming with dogs and humans. Documentaries of worldwide Orcas using different techniques to hunt many different marine species are not representative of what the Orca population does as a whole - rather how each different pod hunts in their own specific ways.

Sorry, seals, but orcas are our friends. We only call them killer whales because of how efficient they are at hunting. But they never hunt us.

Dolphins are the bullies of the ocean, and Orcas are the worst offenders. I just heard about an orca that chased a seal for half an hour just to break it neck. It didn't even eat the seal. Orcas have been known to bully seals by creating waves that knock them off of their rocks. They then wait for the seals to get back on the rocks before doing it again. They punt seals into the air so high that they when fall back to the water they die. They do all of this for fun and/or for sport. Many of the animals they abuse don't even get eaten. Some whales have even been shown to protect other animals from Orcas.

@@TheShadoDev I can assure you the Northern Residents don’t do any of that stuff. As for the pods that do punt seals in the air (PNW Transients) or use the wave method (Type B in Antarctic), they are teaching their young how to hunt. There is no vegetarian whale. Even the “gentle” ones such as Humpbacks, Blues, Resident Orcas all eat on small fish - which is still hunting other animals. And yes, whales are one of few animals that show altruism. This includes Orcas (Humpbacks have been known to save grey whales from Orcas in California, and Orcas have saved humans from sharks in Australia).

Their both. Because they have teeth, their considered "toothed whales" therefore dolphins. However, the two sections baleen whales(no teeth) and toothed whales still fit in the classification cetaceans which are scientifically considered whales. Basically, all dolphins are whales, but not all whales(without teeth) are dolphins.

No, he didn't. Keiko died at the age of 27 of pneumonia in Norwegian Coastal water, Taknes fjord. He was, in fact, free. He was buried in Norway.
