Giiiiiirl! if you had not gotten those dr Marten's oxfords, I would have jump through the screen because that brand of shoe is retail $100+ and unlike what Kay got, these are real leather shoes. I was tempted to buy something similar at Nostrom rack (because I been wanting a pair for a while) but I looked at the price and thought about the wear ability of manmade pleather made in China and I put everything back. I have actually invested in this brand at retail sale prices and never have had any regrets. You just naturally look sharp when you throw on shoes by this brand. Dr Marten are my forever shoe brand, got 3 sandals and a pair of boots. You owe Kay big time talking you into getting those (great job on influencing).

The problem with shopping Beacon Closet or Crossroads is that when we pay thrift store prices it is difficult to justify paying a higher price. What to do, what to do? The doc martens oxfords were a good price at $35 since those shoes go for $120-$150 a pair. I was fortunate about 2 months ago to find a brand new doc marten mini purse for $16 new with tags at Uniques (Savers). Last summer, I paid $25 for a new pair of Naot's oxfords at a vintage shop. Look them up and they were a pair of current shoes worth $180. So sometimes, it is worth paying a little more. Looking forward to more adventures in NYC. Stay safe. Much love from Chicago.

Great find…. NYC thrifting has gone bananas. I am from the class of 1980 sally thrifting where I could find Ralph Lauren ties for .50 cents to $1 and jeans I mean all bottoms where $2/3. To know go in and find the same or next to same price as a new item is sickening. I so miss the old days

Hey y'all, chrck to see if there's a Clothes Mentor near you. It's the business/adult version of Plato's Closet. Sometimes their clearance is phenomenal. Bk in the house😂😂😂I think I would rather take the train to Jersey orrrr Ct and thrift down there. Atlanta has been surging on these prices. So I went thrifting in my closet😅 and am curating a couple totebags to trade with friends
