Ohhh I remember the commercial for this one as a kid!! I used to want her & sun colors Pocahontas so bad, but I only ever got John smith and the action figure versions 😂. My action figure of Pocahontas fell into a drain gutter on a rainy day in Manhattan in ‘96 because I tried to act out just around the river bend with her boat 😂. She’s so beautiful though and I love the 70s mustache it’s very cute!! I can’t wait to see what you sew her in and the high heels! Great review as always!!
Weren't commercials so cool back then! Oh, that sucks! I never had any Disney dolls as a kid, not until I was buying dolls for myself. I had figurines though. I did have Quasimodo too, but I don't count him as a doll really. OH NO! Poor Pocahontas! Sounds like something I would have done myself 😂 Thank you! I keep saying I need to dye it but never do 😋 I am so looking forward to sewing for her, I have an awesome outfit in mind. I am not sure how to go about the heels though 😫 Thank you! ❤️
Woah! She’s huge. i was not expecting that. i can’t help feeling impressed by Mattel how they used a modified version of the Supersize Barbie doll. Very cost-efficient. i haven’t seen the movie since the 90s. My aunt took me to see it. After we left the theater, she took me to the Disney store where she bought me Kokoum and John Smith dolls. i really wanted Pocahontas, but was too embarrassed to admit it. i think i was 11 years old at the time. i remember finding the movie to be very underwhelming and forgettable. Much like a lot of Disney movies of the time.
I know right! Larger than I was expecting 😂 I don't really have the room for her but I like her so much! I know right, they are so resourceful. Or they WERE! Aww! That is so sweet, and so sad. I think it was a very different time then too, in many ways. Yes, I think you were born around the same time as my eldest sister and she was around 11 or 12 when I was born. I think Disney was churning out a lot of stuff at that time and they had films they knew would be big, and films that were just to keep them on peoples minds.
She is one of my favorite Disney Princesses of all time and when I found out about this Supersize Pocahontas doll, I wanted her so badly for years. She's a very beautiful doll and I love her hair, her face, and her accessories. It's kinda tricky and messy to add the beads to her hair but the final result it's always good and I felt very pleased about how it turned out. I have 3 of them because I think she's stunning and I love Supersize Barbie dolls. After watching this video I want to open up the third one that is still inside the box. And last, but not least... You look gorgeous with your hair and your mustache like that. You're such a handsome young man.
I only recently found out about her. I was so happy as the vintage SuperSize dolls are so expensive and I honestly think this doll is prettier. She looks like a SuperSize Miko to me. You have 3! That is so cool! I wish I had the room. I would get Esme too (even though she is hideous!) My Pocahontas has a basic ponytail now. I wish I could get the beads to work. I will have to give it another go. Aww, thank you! ❤️❤️❤️ I love my moustache now 😂 I wonder if I will keep it though 🤷🏼♂️ I am always changing my mind about my hair 😂
@@DeanReen Yes! They’re quite rare, but I was very lucky to find some of them. As I mentioned before, I opened up the one that was still inside the box, and you were right! Her hair feels a little hard and almost like soft wire, but nothing like a good shampoo can fix! And I would like to get Esmeralda too! I kinda agree that she’s a little hideous, but I really like her as well. And you can try any new style on your hair, I bet you will look as handsome as you with your moustache! 🥰
@@robertomarin9864 I need a stand for my Pocahontas. Do you use any stand for them? I would love to get more. I would love to have them as a seperate display. I need to make more clothes for her though. I am waiting on some brocade that I bought just for her. Thank you ❤️
@@DeanReen Yes, I have a stand for each of them. And it’s funny because I use the Supersize Barbie stand and that’s how I display them! 🙊 And for some clothing, my brother helped me to make some cool dresses for them and also, he made a beautiful gown with embroidered fabric, and she looks quite nice! Hmm, nah 😂 I watched it not long before making this review and wasn't thrilled 😭 I will admit the design and colours were good. The music and story not so much.
Like Blake, I love the fact that Mattel re-used the old Supersize Barbie molds for the body. I remember those dolls very well! I never had Supersize Barbie (and wanted one but they were all but gone by the time I got around to wanting to buy her!) but I had Candi and Charly. They were much easier to make clothes for than the littler 12" gals! I of course am MUCH older, as I was 25 in 1995. I do remember the movie but never saw it back then. That hook/bead thing is ingenious! (Loving that 80's electro pop in the background!!)
Her body is actually extremely interesting. I find the waist movement so unusual. I am annoyed that her legs don't bend though. I had such a hard time finding music that didn't sound completely out of place in this video. I still don't think the music works. Didn't want to do Native American music, a bit too on the nose. Got my tax return today. I went a bit nuts and I am hating myself as it was meant to go to Ollie for rent 😑

Wow Im loving this doll and the size! This was such a pioneer outcome to the very new and incredibly sought after Limited Dolls by Disney Store. Though I much prefer these original from the actual time the movie premiered. loved it! Thank you so much for sharing her! makes me want to watch Pocahontas all over Again! xXx H
I know right. She is so cool! I was worried she may have been too big and I wouldn't like her but I think she is just right for me. I'm not familiar with the limited dolls. I would check them out, but you make them sound expensive. I always prefer the Disney dolls from the 90s. They were so much more accurate.
Me too! I missed out on so many cool toys I never even knew existed 😂 I have never had a Gene doll before. I know she is 16" so a bit smaller, but I have no idea about her measurements. I'm looking forward to the next sewing video. It will be fairly simple. I had a few people not sure where to start with sewing so I figured I would do something less advanced than my last sewing video.

Nice walk down memory lane. I remember pretty clearly when Pocahontas came out. But much like you, it wasn't my favorite. I do like the Raccoon though, he really saved the film LOL. Is that the same body as the SuperSize Barbie?
It was indeed! Even though I didn't have this doll, the character, film, and story are so familiar to me. As boring as the film is! 😂 Yes, Meeko was so cute! Reminds me of my dog Sonny 😑😂 Yes, it is the same body.
Cool! I was actually thinking of my MEGO Cher when I was playing with her hair!!! What Mackie gown? Are you going to sew it yourself? I wish this doll had more of a Cher nose. I think Cher's nose is so beautiful.
I don't have a SuperSize barbie, but i think i got some shoes today in a bag (video coming out in 5 hours on my channel) and ..they don't fit my 18" tall Pocahontas. I have always assumed that she had the SAME body as SuperSize Barbie...but now i don't know. Do you know?
@@DeanReen Eddie told me that the shoes i have are CANDI shoes...ah...yes... i have a Candi somewhere. I also have a Supersize barbie i just found in storage.
