Over the years, following Aleshia's directions, I have made a few Daisy Chains, Arrow Bracelets, and Diamond Patterns, in 6/0 seed beads and then remade them all in 4mm beads, and I really like the way they came out. Years later, they are still intact, too.
If you freeze the video and look at the daisy chains going up and down there are 2 beads, 3 bead, 2 beads, 3beads repeatedly. In each row of the three beads the center bead will be the white seed bead.
I've been trying for weeks to do beading I fail every time,so I saw this and had a go,and hey presto I've finally cracked it,this is a great tutorial, best 1 on u tube👍👍👍
im also glad you went through the whole thing slowly, rather than just doing one or two and saying rinse and repeat. i just made one along with you and paused it when i needed to. i made mine pink and white flowers tho :)
Well hello, as usual great tutorial!!! I'm a young 63 years old girl, and this has been a joy to do. I made a few for my grand girls, well of course they loved it, so thanks so much for your beautiful work and your time, very appreciated. xox
Hi, I am a beginner and after watching many videos on daisy chain I am happy to watch your video with the entire explanation you have done with the process. So happy to find a right online teacher.
ha! the daisy with the strand in the middle was totally how I learned it 20 years ago! I then figured out how to link the blooms and was hooked. thanks for the memory lane stitch!! Danielle queen bee jewel gallery
I know how to bead fringe earrings, and friendship bracelet macrame. I've never made a seed bead daisy chain before. I attempted a more complex bracelet yesterday. I'm glad I found this cuz I think this will be a better springboard to start with. Now to dismantle yesterday's failed attempt and try again.
Thank you so much for your amazing instructional video. Your camera work was excellent and clear so I was able to follow it quite easily as well as your repetition of the steps for the Daisy chain so that I was able to really follow along as I was making mine. I just wanted you to know that helped me a lot thank you.
You do an absolutely excellent job of giving us just a bit of information, just the right amount that we can absorb and that we need at the right time. Then as we have allowed that to sink in then you continue giving us more hints and tips and directions. You are perfect.
I am sorry, I forgot to show how to make this stitch into a ring in this video. If you friend me on facebook you can go to my photo album and there I show how to turn this stitch into a ring. RU-vid won't let me post the link to my facebook page here so I posted it in the info box below the video.
i feel the same way, i just can't stop watching over and over again, lol, until i get just as professional, thank you Alesia you are such an humble, sweet artist/patient 5 start teacher. amazing!!
what i like about this video: it is very well framed/magnified for great viewing! The technique is demonstrated at a very good pace. the lighting is spot on. by using the colors You did here, it is very clear to see how You make the chain!! Thanks to Alesia!
I love listening to your voice...very calm. Thank you, I have been trying to Learn how to do this for a long time, your method is simple and effective, and your instructions are very clear. Beautiful jewelry!
I think the daisy chain is one of the most versatile stitches there is. Many variations. Thank you for showing us the different versions! You are Very talented and I find your videos one of the best out there. I appreciate the time and effort u put into your work and absolutely LOVE your rings!! Keep up the great work!
I use size 10 beading needles. Only fireline can be threaded on needles because it is so thin. Monofilament is so stiff there is no need to use needles. Your very welcome Thanks for watching my tutorials.
you know what i love about your videos?? you talk a lot, giving thorough explanations about the beads, the materials and the techniques and that is so helpful for a good final result, for a delicate finishing. Thank you very much for this beautiful work with the beads and with the videos, so gooooooooooooddddddd :)
Thank you so much for this! I followed along and appreciate how you made a long video. I prefer this so much over the plain daisy chains with nothing in between-sometimes they can look like flowers just dangling on a string and they’re not a strong durable chain. I made a bracelet for my friend with your help!
Hello Aleshia it does look complicated but I'll try it anyways you do such an amazing design I do like it zo much thank you so much for your tutorial god bless you
Your very welcome! I am happy you like them. The average wrist size is 7 1/2 to 8 inches so a small child might be 5 or 6 inches I am not totally sure on this though. You can add a small extender chain to the bracelet to be safe.
Very nicely done and the tutorial is the best I've seen. My daughter of nine wanted to learn the daisy chain and she mastered it in no time flat they your video. It shows how taking your time and teaching others like they r children is a plus in this case as a LOT of your viewers r probably just beginning "beaders". My Emmy did this with the stretchy kind as she is allergic to most metals and if you don't overwear them like in the shower etc… I think they will last a while. Mainly making sure u keep the string lubricated with some oil or my daughter uses Garnier sleek and shine serum. Hope that helps others to keep old favorites new again. Thx again for the video and God bless. 😊
thank you so much for this very detailed tutorial...... it is the only one I found that really shows each step at an excellent camera angel allowing me to create a rockin' anklet. you're awesome!
Your tutorials are excellent. I feel you go at a very reasonable speed; showing the thread paths and directions at a pace that is easy to follow. As I learn, I often pause the video, go back a bit, and watch the steps again and again. Then I try to do a section from memory. If you went any slower I think the tutorial would be more frustrating. Thanks for all you do!
i also dont use wire protectors...besides the fact it costs more... you will be just as well off making several passes through the beads at the end near the clasp several times, cause with fireline it is thermally bonded and VERY STRONG :) hope that helps.
Your attention to detail is the only thing that got me through this. It doesn't look hard or so I thought. Maybe I am just too old, blind or whatever to get it but I followed you to the tee and got it. I was working with cheap beads that were all different sizes coming out of the bag....don't know why the bead company made such shoddy bead quality but nevertheless I did it. I may have to refer to you again to remember how but it sure was fun. Thanks again.
I love beading, but since I am a beginner, I don't get designs easily, but your instructions are awesome and so easy to follow that it feels like I have made it many times, and I am used to making it, thx for the video
My grandmother and I used to make these and I have forgotten how. I need to get bigger seed beads and do some practice. You are amazing and I am so glad I found your tutorials :)
Thank you so much for this tut. I am so inspired after I mastered this I am going to make them in all possible colour combinations.I made mine with stretchy string so that clasps are unnecessary. You made this old fasioned stitch allive again
Would you a tutorial for the blue/white bracelet in this video? I love that bracelet very much but do not know how. Thank you very much. Your tutorial is very clear, the step, your instruction, every thing is very clear, precise, detail, very thoughtful, easy to follow. I never have any problem to be able to do any thing once I Finnish watch your tutorial.
Thank you Aliesha, I am new to beading and you make this look very easy. Your work is very good and you take your time when you are explaining. I have looked at a few beading videos and they do not explain it as well. Will be trying the anklet or bracelet very soon. Made my beading needle from your other video and will be starting soon. First I'm going to watch a few more of your videos to acquaint myself with your beading. You are thorough so I'll just be working with you. God bless you.
I LOVE how you explain how to do this. there is one on here that is so fast I lost my place many times.. I came across yours in frustration over the other one.. I LOVE it. thank you so much.
the tutorial when i was able to watch it is exelent. i am teaching beginers and cheep beading in a seniors municipal club i thank you for the very clear tutorial
Great Teacher! You really are terrific at explaining! I made my first ever bead project, using your Hugs n Kisses Ring Tutorial - and it turned out great! Can't wait to try this one next. Please keep adding more videos!
A helpful video to me, i used to do this in my bead courses and i forgot it, we did allot bracelets like this before. Looking at sketch i mixed everything, but ur video remindet it how to do it, Thank you!!!
Wowww..! Thank you so much.... It's easy to know... You are a good teacher.... You teaching it by step and easy to know...much love to you.....! 😘♥😍🌠🌈😇
Your voice is very relaxing :) I normally avoid even 8+ minute long videos, but your instructions were really clear even for a a person completly new to beading, like me. Thank you, I can't wait to try this ^.^
I think you're a wonderful person to follow, that woman that criticizes you is stupid. Videos can be paused everyone knows that. Don't worry we all know what you're doing and can follow, all my projects come out perfect. Thanks so much for sharing.
Oh very cool! Love the variations too! Nicely done as always Aleshia!! Thank you for being the best bead teacher on RU-vid!!! Love it!! Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
Finally got some fireline and trying this but having a real hard time keeping the stitches tight, using 8o seed beads and it was super loose at the end, once i filled in it tightened up some but then shrank my bracelet by alot.
I love this pattern. I found a sample of this in an antique store, loved it and tried to find a tutorial. Your tutorial is exactly like the one I found. Thank you. I can see which beads you go through clearly in the video. It is confusing when you say the color of the bead, instead of the name of the bead; leaf, center, petal bead, as I am using different color beads. I'm slow to pick up new patterns so I wrote it down so I can remember each step. Thank you for this tutorial.
I buy my fishing line monofilament at Walmart but you can buy it at any place that sells fishing supplies. These are the monofilaments I use along with there diameters 6lb. dia. .010 and 8lb. dia. .011 and 10lb. dia. .012 As you can see they are very close in sizes. My favorites are 8lb. and 10lb. because they are very strong and stiff enough that the ends can be used as needles. I color the ends of my strings with permanent markers.
Just finished my first bracelet!!! 😁 Thank you very much i was very excited to start this project and now that I'm done I'm very happy with the result, even though it didn't come out as nice as the one in the video.
I am a little confused about your question. I used fireline with a needle for the daisy chain because it needs to flexible. Monofilament doesn't work for stitches like this because it is too stiff. Let me know what you mean I want to answer your question right.
Hi. Many thanks for films. Very easy for this old lady (55) to follow. Never beaded before and found you by accident looking for tatting patterns. You made it look interesting. If we were neighbours I would want to make you something as a thank you. Big love from Bradford UK :-D x
I’m new subscriber and Love your tutorials I’ve been looking for the right person to follow and it’s you!! So detailed and not a lot of busy talk just teaching and great showing each step Great work 🎉❤❤❤
Hello! Aleshia! Thank you so much For your vídeos. I'm so happy I did two bracelets and a ring already! I'm sharing this with my daughter. You are the best! Blessings. Please keep doing this! 😊👍🌷
Hello! Your work with beads is wonderful! I wonder if you could write the sizes of the beads here, because I'm having a little trouble in understanding the listening (I'm not a native english speaker).
HEY I HAVE AN IDEA FOR YOU: you could try using one or two more beads for the actual flower itself and it will look fuller in the end :) but thanks too for showing me how simple it was to make one of these i could always do the flower part but never knew how to add the "extras"... now with years of bead weaving experience it hit me when i saw your picture...ty
I have found that only thread like fishing line works best, monofilment deforms the stitch. If you don't have thread fishing line you can use Dandy line or Wildfire beading thread. I buy my Fireline at walmart for 16.00 in the sporting goods it is the cheapest place to buy it, plus you get a lot more for your money than if you were to buy Beadsmith Fireline.
I love your tutorials they are so easy to understand and follow. I was woundering why you don't us a wire protector for your braclets ends? Just woundering. Linda
Dear Aleshia, firstly, thank you for all the inspiring tutorials. I want to make this bracelet for the two granddaughters of my friend, ages 5 and 7, and don't know how long they should be. It will be a surprise, so I can't ask them, and there are no other kids around :) BTW, you have beautiful hands and fingernails :))
Querida Alicia: Disculpa que te escriba en español, quiero saber cómo hago para conseguir el hilo que utilizas , que tiene un acabado en el extremo y facilita pasar las cuentas
I just made my first ever woven bracelet using this tutorial, and the only complaint i even remotely have about it is I wish I had used different colors, but I had to make do with a limited selection. As for the video itself, I was very pleased with it. The pace is perfect, your voice is clear, and so are the instructions. The only suggestion I offer is it would have been nice to see a worded list of the materials needed. Other than that this is an amazing video.
This is so cool, and I love how you did it filling in the sides...that' brilliant!! I especially love the turquoise bracelet...Thanks so much for this wonderfully versatile stitch. I also liked the idea of using stripes and will have to try it. As always - you - are awesome!
This looks like a fun bracelet to make, but how do you keep everything straight. I would be so lost. LoL I know you do this all the time. I would sure like to try this but I would have to follow every step. Thanks for sharing your video with all of us. ❤️
