How to drift smooth in beamng: 1. Stop using high hp cars with high grip tires if you're new, you'll just drift like shit. 2a. Install these two mods; www.beamng.com/resources/advanced-steering.24284/updates www.beamng.com/resources/enhanced-chase-camera.29131/updates 2b. Optional but highly recommended - copy these settings: imgur.com/a/sGorT4E (I use the steering preset for both drift and grip, feels a lot like forza all around) I start every build off of a base model chassis, and tend to stick towards standard tires. I do have higher grip/speed sport tire setups but for tandems you'll always get smoother results out of standards. I'd recommend against mixing compounds like standard rear/sport front, tends to get a little fucky. You can mix the shitty standards (in video) with the regular standards but that's about it. Stay away from the big lock kits unless you have a rudimentary grasp of drifting, otherwise they become a crutch for a nooby beginner opposed to a tool in the hands of a skilled driver. The perfect drift starter car that's already to go is the street drift preset for the BX series. Have fun. To use these two mods online you need to visit this link ( steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2914413176 ) and paste that in the console when you join a server. You can activate the steering mod and camera mod without becoming a black ball, you only become a black ball when you load an asset that the server needs to share but can't, like a car or prop. Since UI apps are client side, you're good. hopefully I see a lot of people in public servers drifting better because of this, because I'm tired of trying to tandem with people on gripped up tires and getting assblasted through the door and off the track.
honestly the enhanced chase cam and advanced steering mods turn beamng into an amazingly playable experience compared to vanilla, really the only 2 mods i care about
its the smallest rusty ibishu wheel in the 4 lug section on the rear with the old bad tires, normal street tires up front on whatever size wangan tz wheels (probably 15s or something)
