*SOLUTION TO THE ACCELERATION PROBLEM* If you're playing with a wheel and pedals, you need to reassign the accelerator and decelerator due to a recent beam ng update. I was having the same problem last night, and reassigning the pedal controls fixed it.
Thomas Johannesen to me it just looked like turbo lag, the bolide corse mod is the same way. If you try turning in that car at low rpms you will barely move (if you could keep it low enough you would get base model corolla 0-60 times). Also that is a rally car which means they are pretty reliant on boost to make power.
The rally car problem has happened to me-What I have concluded from my own testing is that if you have multiple vehicles spawned, and at least one that you do not have selected is moving, then a DCT gearbox in drive in arcade transmission will fail to downshift while coming out of a slide. Might be something to run by the devs if your channel is big enough to attract their attention.
with the rally car, everytime you had acceleration problems, the RPM's were low and you had no boost. To keep the acceleration, you need the RPM to be at 6000 RPM or higher.
Top Tier Studios also it could be the turbo lag, some race cars make nearly no power under a certain rpm becuase the boost hasn't built up. From what I saw it only happened when he was gemerating around 1psi which is nothing so it probably made around 100-200hp vs the 400-600 it would have made at it's peak.
Notice that when you were using the Hiroshi Sunburst Rally Edition, everytime you went under 2000 RPMs the PSI went into negatives, and could therefore be effecting the performance of the car.
The problem with the Sunburst probably came from the turbocharger. There is turbo lag, and I noticed that when the problem happened, the turbo had negative pressure, maybe indicating something about the turbo yanking power away from the engine?
14:19 The car isn't acting up, you're using an automatic gearbox in arcade mode. You're stuck with a engine which doesn't have a lot of torque attached to a transmission that doesn't want to kick down! I'd really recommend realistic mode with the clutch helper and a manual transmission. When you stop, the gearbox immediately changes down into first gear, which makes for a better acceleration ratio. The Miramar has a manual (albeit still in arcade mode, so it still shifts late, argh!), so it won't experience this as bad.
The problem with Sunburst is in its turbo. As you can see on the video, it couldn't get to high PSI, like normal. But after stopping it was no problem to get to 17
The rally cars issue is that you have it in automatic mode and the transmission is in a high gear and nor shifting down like you would when you slow down with a manual so because it's in a high gear the engine is bogged down
Not very game inclined but mechanically I am and what I believe happened was I seen the boost gauge and it read -3 when it messed up which would make me think turbo lag
You should have gone down the dead end; it is indeed long, but there's another black hole down there that I don't think anyone's ever shown the end of.
The turbocharger on the rally car was slowly building boost when accelerating from 30-40mph when it was at a stop it built boost much quicker therefore more POWERRRRR.
I was having the same problem with the sunburst and it kept accelerating even though I had the brakes and the emergency brake trying to stop the car. I only experienced it when I crashed.
