BeamNG Drive Multiplayer - Car Chase Chaos 

Allow the Police to use their mini-map and then use the whole of the map rather than limit yourself to the city. Would love to see the environmennt changes rather than just looping around the same streets.

If you put bigger/stickier tires on the Barstow it drives waaay better, because from what I understand the tires that come standard on all the different cars are period correct as talked about by the devs.

I think it would be better to start in a chase, since there is no blending in (or maybe give them air support if that exists). And the chases didn't really feel that tense, since your vehicle always outperformed them in everything, I think that gap needs to be closer, or for there to be a stark difference in Handling, and Speed. Anyway, great seeing more chase videos ^^

You REALLY need a wheel to play Beamng, it's not impossible to play with controller if you are really good with the joystick but it's less than ideal

this was brilliant fun to film, despite my framerate and ability being shaky at best :p

for high speed driving i recommend turning on the steering filter in the settings, it scales down the steering input if your going fast.

Finally! Please do more multiplayer in this game, there's so much potential!

You can brake smoothly in the muscle car as long as you synch the brake-pedal's travel with your speed, so if you drive quickly you should tap the brakes lightly, but as you're losing speed you can push the brake pedal progressively harder. That's how it worked before cars had ABS and it is simulated brilliantly in the BeamNG, and also adds a rewarding element of skill.

This is awesome! The hunters need to be using Pigeons for extra comedy effect 😂

This is one of those maps in the game that doesn't take a lot of time to cover the map. The map looks large but it's not even close to the size of the survive the hunt gta city area you normally play in.

Love beamng but if you watch Jeff F doing this sort of thing, it needs to be way more fun, maybe a mix of police cars like one is a pursuit type car, or they have a mini map on so can set traps, as was mainly more you getting bored and looking for trouble rather than the police being a threat. Can't wait to see more Beamng needs to be played more!

I love when forza people play beamNG, they usually say the game is bad rather than admit forza makes driving easier.

Back when KissMP was more active, Cops and Robbers was the best server. Word of advice: controllability is key. Having a fast car is not as useful as handling and especially easy driving under pressure. Basically a FWD car with ABS or a strong Roamer or something is generally best for balanced chases.

Beam multiplayer seems alot more stable than it used to be... That's great!

I love this idea. I'm so glad to see it be pulled off. I would suggest allowing modifications at some point without allowing drivetrain modifications.

Fun video. But I think you're choosing a little too fast vehicles, it's more fun if the cop cars are somewhat similar in terms of performance.

have been waiting to see you do this challenge after seeing it done elsewhere. would be good with full map and more cops. Nitro on the freeway can make for some interesting last minute escapes.

i recommend full map with air support helicopter or let them have mini maps. check out car mighty's stuff for ideas :)

This was a lot of fun to watch, big thanks to all those involved in filming it! Maybe we could have a short breakdown video/short about how Beam MP works, as i'm sure many of us watching don't know what goes on behind the scenes to set these up.

It would be interesting if there were some people just driving around being normal traffic. Just to add some more chaos to the mix.

It's not GTA 5, but it's awesome! I love BeamNG, played and followed it off and on for years now. The car physics is a lot more bobbly, but in its own way it is a great counterpoint to highly arcade Forza, GTA, etc. (not that I'm arguing for "muh realism" -- this is just a nice and different dish to enjoy) This gives BeamNG a pretty special flavor to the Survive the Hunt chases -- those curbs matter a lot more!

Entertaining

The Barstow sadly isn't the best handling car in BeamNG. Having made a few car chase videos using it, the oilpan is made of tinfoil and is placed well below any other part of the undercarriage, so it's the first thing to go on dirt roads too. With the style of videos I have made (70-80's Hollywood style, where an obvisouly broken car is just fine in the next shot) the damage doesn't really matter, but a car that handles so bad that even the AI struggle to make a turn at speed does :) It can be made to work Ok'ish if you play around with tires and suspension set up for a while.

It’s just like CarHunt from CarMighty. Amazing! Also, I am pretty sure drifting isn’t bad in beamng. I think you could notice it with the second truck until you took a corner with too much speed to drift without hitting something.

I think more equal vehicles but with police also having '1 life' could work. I'd like to see more tactics for stopping rather than just crash into it. It would also stop the 'I'll send it over this hill and maybe 'accidentally' take him out when I lose control'. It was nice to see once, and being avoided once, but if this becomes a series, maybe on this map in this city again, it seem like something they could try again too often. If your computers are up to it, the police could go down the 'Top Gear Police Department' route after a certain amount of time, or multiple intervals of gradually more destructive options, from throwing traffic cones to dumping rocks out of HGVs. And challenges for the escapee like tow a caravan for bonus points every 5 minutes survived. Police could use the mini map to plot attacks and manipulate where the escapee can go to some degree. Using the map is an idea from another comment that I think could make for more entertaining and elaborate traps, like hanging a mace from a bridge or something.

It's good, needs tweaking. BEAM is about crashing, not racing, so maybe they have to get you 3 times? Like have some good crashes but keep going with it you know. Maybe tag? I'm sure you all will crack it.

You should do trusty turncoats in beam. Have everyone randomly draw to be a cop civilian or crook. If a crook destroys all the police cars crooks win, if the police destroy all crooks cars the police win. If the crook destroys a civilian though, the civilian becomes a crook, and if the police destroy a crooks car the crook becomes a cop. But here’s the catch, all crooks and civilians are in regular cars and the police can require any car to pull over and identify themselves. It might need refinement, but I think it’d be fun, especially with the hunters.

You know, watching you struggle with the Barstow made me think of the D-series sport, and how easy it is to lock the brakes on that. Lo and behold, the next thing you pick is that exact car! Seeing you had modified it to have 4WD made me breathe a sigh of relief lol

Pretty sure you can turn Nametags off. Unfortunately, AI doesn't work in BeamMP so you can't do Survive the hunt in Beamng

I really enjoyed this one it was not just constant racing racing racing my favorite is Horst is survive the hunt or hunt the survivors or on Forza where you are chased by everybody in the world those are a lot of fun to me but I don't race as much as I used too soon thank you so much like what you do Bob from Virginia USA

I haven't played BeamNG for awhile but there's an option in the menus that you can take a stock car and upgrade it, I think some ABS and you're good unless you wanna do it stock it's ok but the option is there

This is more fun to watch than GTA5, manly because the cars can get into more funny shapes, and muscle cars have a high likely hood to combust when hit to many times from the rear.

I don't really understand the choice of Police car in the 2nd chase. AN early 60s sedan chasing an 80s truck? What?

Imagine my disappointment when I found out the Barstow fastback is not some obscure muscle car from England.

You should do this again, and allow for a 30 sec stop to repair your car. Hide it from them, and you must stay stationary for 30 sec after the repair. If they find you during that time, oh well.

Brilliant. Maybe look to extend to 30 minutes, but, allow 3 car changes (not repairs) for yourself.

The moment at 24:56 just feels like you’re in slow motion on how the two cars are moving and the van coming at you is your adrenaline pumping and reacting to it, not to mention perfect timing of eating your words of they might have a roadblock set up

More of these in Beam, its perfect for the level of damage and the slowness of the chases is actually even better than GTA ones to watch!! Love it :)

I really enjoyed this. The fact that this is beamng means that any slight error could be fatal, and its nice to see the chasers actually properly stop you instead of bumbling all over each other like they normally do.

Something that helped handling in Beram for me was to set the steering axis curve to be way more logarithmic. that way you get much more fine control

The barstow is durable as shit, it just completely destroyed that sunburst and left completely unscathed.
