@@sebastienc.2257 Define intellectual because I never found Pac to be intellectual I found him preachy not in a negative way, and Big was not trying to be more mature but he was reflective with his lyrics and tried to add a bit of humor.
@@LarryBonson “interesting” you really can’t judge someone smart enough. Who am I to say you’re not smart? In my personal opinion, many things can make a person smart.
Pac was on another level. His ryhmes still resonate 25yrs.later with what's pertaining to the black community today.Which when you really think about it is crazy.
Rappers back in the day actually had a high vocabulary, and knew how to create a organic dialogue in their music. They had a poetic storyline that resonates with real life that built the culture.
Gucci man , Gucci man , Gucci man 🗑️🚮 " Brenda's gotta baby , but brendas barley got a brain , a dam shame the girl can hardly spell her name , that's not are problem that's up to Brenda's family , well let me show you how it effects our whole community" - 2pac Big differences
What they so call Rap today by females & Males is all BS to me check it:everything is about dissing the next artist, nothing is relevant you can’t even get a good verse’s that stands out to get your attention truth is it’s not worth buying or burning
@@zoebones115 huh? Jay always been on Big side. You must be young bro, cause Jay didn’t get hot until 96” Biggie and Pac beef was going on way before Jay came along. Pac took shots at Jay first, talking about his Hawaii video with the Hawaiian shirt Jay had in and grills in his mouth.
2Pac is alive helloooooo are u the one who's dead 😵 enzee1245...omg 😱 ur dead spiritually, ur next one will be Physically. Listen, 2Pac's new alias is Akil the Mc
Pac caught my attention early in his career from Trapped to Brendas got a baby to So Many Tears. Dear Mama was the only Rap song that my heavily religous mom ever sat down and watched the video with us. Pac had a msg or song for every aspect of life in which very few could ever match in terms of being well rounded. Most ppl only focus on Death Row Pac but prior to that dude was already a Legend in my mind. Real life reality music was my fav growing up at times u needed that inspiration to Keep Ya Head UP. RIP 2 both legends Pac n Big!
Crazy thing is i recall back in those days a lot of brothas walked around with our heads down towards the ground as if the world had already deceived us from looking up to the sky. Born into a world carrying heavy burdens and stereotypes to the point you have to wrestle your inner demons in order to build confidence. Pac was a essential part of my growth process including the imperfections.
Yo I remember not even liking pac before the west vs east beef. I'm on East Coast but that ALL EYES ON ME and makevelii changed everything. Set the bar high for every rapper .
I don't like how people try to pigeon hole Tupac into just a gangster rapper, he was more than that. I wouldn't really consider him a gangster rapper at all. Sure he dabbled in that but Pac had a wide range unlike most rappers, that is what made him great, He rapped about social issues, teen pregnancy, women rights, betrayal, relationships, death, depression, paranoia, Partying, fighting. He rapped about life. He was an amazing artist, calling him just a gangster rapper does not do him justice. The man was very versatile. He was the rap equivalent to bob marley, they both share so many similarities from being shot, talking about social issues etc
Literally every new song that comes out from any artist born after the year 2000 is 2 mins or less. And has zero substance. Shid i done started listening to ol skool rap now cuz the new stuff jus aint it
@beautifulchrissy5333 Me being a 44 years old Black man who has been a huge mega fan of Tupac since i was 13 years old of 1993 , yes Tupac had a lot mature lyrics in his raps and Tupac showed maturity in his personality ( as well as intelligence) at the young age that he was . Now Big's lyrics were not mature, Big's lyrics was mostly him rapping about gangster, street ghetto hood, nasty, ignorant shit and Big's personality was far from him being mature as a young Black man. I disagree with Beanie Sigel about Big's lyric being mature.
Beans made a STRONG point 🤔, to be that young & articulate as an artist back then was rare. The world is definitely lacking creativity & originality. Stay true to yourself.
No one will ever touch HOV. He is what the ones that passed away and the rapper's still here dream of being. Which is why people hate JZ so much. They wish it wasn't him. That's the God's honest truth. RIP to the fallen however
@dmark2319 but PAC was an actor. The sheep bought in but not the real 1s. JZ has it all... real story, real money, real classics, real family, real giver, and real power. Pac was a great talent who was well read and staged an act that got him clipped.....should've stuck with performing arts. Pac is the most charismatic rap star ever but also the biggest fraud. Do your research stanito 🤣🤣🤣🤣. PAC lyrically was nowhere near Big btw...and you know it. Or beanie or JZ or Nas or Cube or....you get it
He made everyone feel his pain the world gives us he was able to keep his heart pure n open to even make the hardest of cats feel n listen to him is what set him apart
Yup, teenagers back then were hanging out with grown gangsta..... passing down street knowledge and experiences to the likes of Nas Pac Biggie Scarface. Now kids have no guidance and peers hanging out with peers, no grown leaders. Plus, nobody wanna listen. That is why the music is so immature and dumb currently. It's been like this since 2009 2010
So did Poor Righteous Teachers, Brand Nubian, Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest, Def Jeff, Chill Rob G, Lakim Shabazz, Public Enemy, Ice Cube, Ren, Rass Kass, Kam, Mobb Deep, Nas, KMD, Paris, Latifah, Bahamadia, Rakim, Kane, KRS, Wu, Busta, The Roots & Black Thought......I don't understand how Pac gets so much praise over there emcees.
As a Black man who was in his teens in the 90s, NOTHING WAS LIKE PAC. He was bigger than music. Just go listen to his INTERVIEWS. None of them rappers you named talked like him. Pac was the epitome of a young black male in the 90s. Undeniable message with God like talent.@@ShabazztheGreaterTaker
PAC mother use to make him read the New York Times and debate with her. He grew up around the Black Panther Party. At that time, BPP members were educated. He got exposed young to real life issues and struggles. It doesn’t surprise me how his music is powerful.
I have always said Tupac is only rapper you could play right now and people would think he is still alive because his songs are still the blueprint for life today.
That's because Jay wasn't in a position of strength to beef with pac in that time of history. His career would of ended before it got off the ground at that time. And i think Jay was really moving stealthy and calculated at that time him and The Legendary Ta.
@@AManOfCulture1o1Tupac ain’t never end no one career bozo yet along jayz.. after hit em up biggie continued going multi platinum.. After ether jayz continued to go multi platinum.. you can’t stop greatness bozo
Yeah there lyrics was mature because we had the privilege of still seeing and somewhat being connected to a generation of men who's influences was right there for us good and bad. RIP BigandPac.
FACTZ, 2PAC WAS AHEAD OF TIME FOR THE AGE HE WAS, PEOPLE FORGET THE MAN WAS SO YOUNG AND STILL HAD MORE TO GIVE THE WORLD.. THEY DUMBED DOWN HIP HOP ON PURPOSE!!!! LONG LIVE THE GREAT 2PAC & BIGGIE!!!!!
Jay and Pac are like Jordan and Bron to me. Jay is Bron with the longtivity. But that Pac 91-96 stretch is better than most rappers' 20-year careers. Pac in '95 IDC was the best one year run by any rapper ever.
Pac album “Me against the world “ was #1..and had major hits ..before death row ..then movies etc ..man was a “star” ..no rapper had a bigger profile ..even tho he got locked up …so pop that
Pac was also planning to do an album with Scarface - imagine that!!! Also Pac was going to do a song with Seagram who is underated - that would of been dope too.

2pac died in September '96, he had just turned 25 that June. He recorded Changes in 1992 which means he was 20 or 21 years old when he recorded that song. That's crazy. Mature beyond his years frfr.
Most people back then were a little more mature and that was due to being around the great generation they made it mandatory to be functional even if you were a goof.
Back in the 90's music me study the dictionary at 14 facts. Our generation was very different. I'm not taking anything from the ones of this generation that has smarts and that's articulate and go to school. But it's really different from how the music affected us.
This man is doing some of the realest talk I've ever seen any rapper do. WOW. Thank you all both for doing these interviews. We all got to remember that not everybody is down with all of the crazy control shit. Some people in the entertainment industry are actual humans like the rest of us that care and love and hope.❤♾🙏🏻
2pac has a legacy a legend they might been mad then, but when they realize how powerful he was in death. They had to respect it. One thing about 2pac he got his flowers on earth and things wasn’t perfect, but he was a giant.
Man feel like Beanie Sigel could’ve had A-list rap career what she did, but I feel like Rockefeller was using him for muscle he was one of the goons in Rocafella if he could’ve just stayed out of trouble, man but I understand shit happens you will always be one of my top MC of all time definitely in my top 20💯
They was both ahead of they times much respect to both they was born leaders not knowing how influential they was as humans jus surrounded by wrong peoples much luv to both rest easy soldiers but u all still live on in our ❤s and through both of u all music the greatest of all times
I seen Beans In The Movie Theatre In South Philly . He had Tim’s on with a reg t-shirt & jeans .. he wasn’t trying to impress No one .. No Bling & Ole Azz Tims .. Love me some Beans 💯♥️
They dumb down the whole game this is what Lupe made a song about they was trying to make him come down cousin but he flatly refused he wasn’t dumping down nothing- lupe
Mature, genuine, and deep content combined with a strong personality made 2Pac the icon he is remembered for. A born leader and great artist like him would definitely be needed in these crazy times!
Face is in my top 5: Rakim, Pac, X, Nas and Face. Beans was one of my favorite rappers ever. Beans deserves a whole lot more credit and recognition than he gets. Not only Beans, but Beans' team State Property. Jay started using Chris and Neef style. The Young Gunnas was pioneers of that new style of rap.
So true! Both #Tupac & #Biggie spoke *Advanced!* in an interview with Remy & Pap years ago, even she said it: The 20something year olds back then are different than the 1s in this era. #BlackLove in that episode of A Different World, Tupac's character told Lena that he's not your average 23 year old. He knew, too! ❤🔥 ♊♊♊
Okay!!! Tupac may have a better, more mature catalog than Jay-Z, but lyric for lyric line for line, they're is no way that Pac was lyrically better than Jay-Z and B.I.G!!! The only other cats that gave Jay and B.I.G a run for their money, and I'm talking with the flow, with the tight production, and with the record sales were, Death Row and the Dogg Pound and OutKast and the Dungeon Family, and WU-TANG!!! THAT'S IT!!!!👍🏿
