The tone ring is a little louder and more clear. In any case it's nice to see a American making banjos HERE. May your skills and artistry expand and I wish you the best.
I like the sound of the all woody for frailing, but the other one really sparkled with the picks and the highs were the biggest dif. Tone ring model was clearer and at least to me seemed to have more high end sustain and volume at the cost of roundness and bass. Sounded awesome with the picks tho would be hard choice dependent on style
@@beansproutmusicalinstruments Thanks, I had to laugh when you said it. Sometimes massive surfing and research needs notes takenm I'm familiar with THIER site and they do nice work . There are a few like yourself who keep the craft / art alive, thanks for doing so. Ran across a shop in the suburb of Seattle (Ballard) that has made some incredible high quality as well. It's like there are many finish carpenters but a select few who truly stand out and amaze with skill.
