I want to take up target practice with a compound bow. Never used a compound bow before. Do you think buying a 60lb, matthews Phase 4 is too much in terms of draw weight? I’m 5’ 8” and weight 92kg. My draw length is 28”.

Cool video. I’m considering getting a bow for a bit of target practise/hobbying, would you recommend jumping straight in and getting something like this or go cheap and work my way up? I’m also left handed, can the sights be calibrated for left handed archers or is there a moulded grip that makes this only for right hand users? I got a few questions actually, like do you need a licence for these kind of things? And what sort of distance do they fire? I’ve got a mate who’s into his air rifle stuff and goes after vermin like pigeons and rats, but I’m not really into live targets and a bow just seems more fun than a rifle.

I would recommend going straight for something like the G2. It is very easy to pick up and shoot straight out of the box and you will get the hang of it quickly. It is a great bow and the poundage can be adjusted easily. You don't need a license for crossbows or bows in the UK however you can't hunt with them and must be shot on private land or a place like a range.

Just while you are there, I'm needing the arrow retention spring for my frost wolf 175 XB-56 crossbow. Ive tryed everywhere for weeks, even man kung but they want me to spend £160before they ship the spring, which cost£160.shocking customer service. If you could add one or two to your man kung order I'd appreciate it so much. And I'd buy both. Just asking because I broke the tip of mine and don't want to cause any more damage. I know its a long shot but I'm totally out of ideas to find one. Cheers dude. Dale
