As we worked in our real estate office in Mariposa on Monday afternoon, we kept hearing sirens in town & we watched as fire trucks raced down the highway headed to several fires that we were aware of in our area. Approx. 3:40 PM we were notified of a lighting strike fire near our place between Hornitos & Bear Valley. High winds were in the forecast so there was concern the fire might spread quickly. We rushed home & found that Calfire was already staging on our ranch. Thanks to Calfire's fast response, they had the fire under control by nightfall. America's Heroes, we appreciate all that you do.
