While is it true the majority of people who ended up in the water died within 5 minutes there were a few very very lucky people who survived in the water for a somewhat prolonged time that night including Officer Lightholler, Archibald Gracie and Charles Joughin.

The funny thing about this comment is that bears life is actually based on survival movies. He watches them and then tells the stories like it happened to him. If someone tells him batman begins is a survival movie, he will walk around telling people how he was trained by some secret assassins after falling into a cave full of bats. Same. I googled it...apparently it's really common. If people die in the dead zone it's not really safe to retrieve them. So their dead bodies are preserved in ice to be passed by new oncoming climbers.

He climbed mount everest etc. It is true that his surviving tv series are not always as they seem though as he has a filmcrew with him and ready to help him if stuff goes bad and they don't have to live like he does while filming obviously.
