Cheese had a rough start but has bounced back really well! Looking back, I should’ve definitely rescued a bearded dragon because they are one of the most neglected reptiles in the hobby. However, that wasn’t a viable option for me at the time. My next one will definitely be a rescue if I decide to get a second!

Always purchase dragons who are older than 3 months. If you buy them too young they’ll have a difficult time coping with stress and may possibly go off food for too long and it causes more issues than there should be.
Bearded dragons should also be kept together until 3 months old to develop basic hunting skills and sibling rivalry. Most dragons who are sold/separated too young also tend to have eating issues opposed to dragons who are kept together until 3 months old. Dragons are SOLITARY however and NEED to be separated after 3 months or it can develop into other issues like stress, dominance issues and sometimes even death depending on how severe attacks may be. It’s not a good idea to house adults together as they are naturally solitary animals.
