i call it a bandage fix already the bearing housing is screwed why don't you save your time and buy a new bearing a housing bearing must have failed to spin the bearing in the housing in the first place you now created to have the shaft to turn when you bearing packs it in quest was it worth the trouble doing that after all you caused the shaft to were anyway
You are completely up touch... 4 years and the bearing is still going perfectly strong with no issues. I've worked with bearings for many years and would not have published the video if it was not a proper practice. Just used the auger yesterday still working great with zero down time.
