Jayden Daniels is playing with a bottom 1/3 defense the DBs are probably the worst in the NFL there's significantly more pressure on JD5 to score points on every drive. Caleb Williams have a legitimate defense that have already won at least 2 games for him. Just looking at both guys play you can see that Daniels have more intangibles that will translate further into career. Better poise in pocket, takes care of the football, better accuracy, better deep accuracy, Jayden is better at quarterbacking especially situational football
@@samuelblackwell3762 just say that you NEVER seen Jayden play without saying it. Jayden had the best 4 game stretch in NFL history for a QB completion percentage, lead one of the most efficient offenses in NFL history in that 4 game stretch. He is 3rd in league in QBR and 8.5 ypa. A guy that "runs" too much wouldn't be able to put up the astounding passing stats that he has if he's a running QB. He's a QB that have the ability to run. He's playing the position of QB at a elite level
You can tell. They haven’t watched Jayden Daniels. Daniels is not a running qb. He just scrambles. Like Steve young or pat Mahomes. Anyone that comps to Lamar. Is just lazy and ppl who dont watch haunting except the highlights. JD5 is the number 1 pick now. Without a doubt.
That's because Wright is usually sauced by the second half hour and veers off into a weepy, rambling socio-political rant. Cowherd is committed to steering away from politics. He's witnessed, first-hand, what wandering into politics did for ESPN's ratings and revenue.
Wright is now a low rent version of Skip Bayless now. Replace Skip's love of the Cowboys with Nick's love of the Chiefs and Skip bashing Lebron with Nick bashing Aaron Rogers and it's all the same.
What has Bo nix shown in 6 games to determine that he’s the guy 😭 4/6 games have been awful. He’s averaging less than 200 yards per game. He has 5 tds and 5 ints in 6 games. He has 3 first half with 0 points. He had two games with 10 points or less. He had a 60 yard performance. He has two games with 0 tds and 2 picks. How can you even compare him to Caleb and Jayden? If Jayden had the broncos defense he might be undefeated. If Caleb was on the broncos I bet you he would have more than 5 tds and courtland would look more like a 1 than a 2. Bo is not good. I’m tired of him being mentioned with the top 2 picks. You know how I know I’m right. The first thing they talk about is he’s more athletic than he looks 😂🥱👍 who cares. Can he be accurate on passes 5 yards downfield. He looks a lot like time Tebow. Nothing about him says franchise.
@@omokocha it makes this video hard to watch because they all let Colin get away with that bs because he’s the big dog. I love my broncos but ima honest fan. If nix was decent we would be at least 4-2 5-1. We’re 3-3 because we played the jets and raiders and our defense was on fire the first 5 weeks then we lost our best player on the first play after a nix int lol. He had 27 yards in 3 quarters down 23-0 but sure Colin he’s a franchise qb 😂😂
He’s a rookie and he’s doing fine. That’s more than you can expect normally. You had no business in getting Caled nor Daniels, so that’s the best you got. Bo Nix works good for the broncos, build on that and get him an Oline and Weapons. Nick Chubb should be free
@@michaelparker6240He did not look elite against the Ravens, and they have a terrible pass defense. Just saying. He didn’t look bad, but only 2 td's against a pass defense that bad is hardly elite. I think we all need to pump the brakes on all the rookies and give them time to have their ups and downs.
I actually agree with Nick Wrights brother here on the FG kicker issue. The games are becoming very boring because we're seeing 1 first down then a 3 and out then a FG back to back to back. It's insane. I think the FG bars should be narrowed.
Lets talk ceilings. Caleb vsDaniels. Height-JD Size/Strength-CW Arm -CW Accuracy-JD Pass release quickness-JD Scrambling Ability-EVEN Running ability-JD Long Ball - JD Comebacks/Outs -JD Between the numbers-CW Progressions -EVEN Leadership- EVEN Work Ethic - JD Passing while contacted- JD Pocket Clean- EVEN Pocket against Blitz - JD I got 9-3 JD, but Caleb has a great defense and very very talented WRs. JD is also in weaker Division so it all evens out
These are way off. Much has changed from the first 3 games vs last 3 games when it comes to caleb Williams. You have to go by the most recent performance and also the trajectory
So…if these ceiling grades were true then how come multiple scouts, gm’s, and coaches were saying Caleb is the best prospect in decades. You only get that type of respect if you do many things at an elite level. Jayden Daniels has been a nice surprise but to say Jayden has a higher ceiling than Caleb is just silly.
@@AlanSNASi don’t really get comparisons to anyone. He’s an elite athlete and rusher who is also already elite from the pocket. There is no comparison or precedent. Jayden is the prototype.
@@cmyskinsfanHe's 2 months younger than bo nix, he's only operating on one read, and he's one good hit away from medical retirement. He's playing exceptionally well, but he's FAR from the prototype. Mahomes is the prototype, and Jayden is far from Mahomesian.
idk if its ever been so much overreacting in a season, every week is either the best something or the worst something the fans are the ones telling the media to relax now, way to early to call this the best qb class ever could of sworn every one was just calling caleb a bust compared to daniels after 3 weeks now this, i think Caleb is better than daniels but ima bears fan so i kno im bias and he said rg3 was thin so what the hell is he seeing in daniels who is much more thin than rg3
That "reverse touchback" idea punishes the defense too much. Defensive players would be exhausted from the drive and then they have to start a whole new drive? Horrible idea imo
There's gotta be a rule change on OFFSETTING penalties. Example: Offense holds, Defense has a 65 yard Pass Interference, replay the down? Or when it results in a turnover, gotta get that more Balanced.
Except we have injury statistics to look at... And even outside of stats look at the teams with multiple injuries to their starters. It isn't often we see an entire offense injured. The 49ers and Rams are basically running backups at this point. (Not literally 22 backups. But tons of starters are out I'm saying)
Yeah they should do something to make field goals harder. 80% of field goals don’t matter, once they bring the field goal crew out with more than ten minutes left on the clock I don’t feel like it matters what happens.
2018 Draft with Baker, Darnold, Josh Allen, Lamar will end up with 3 Hall of Fame QBs easy. Plus dudes like Saquon, Roquan, Minkah, Derwin, Jaire Alexander. Most slept on draft class.
Chill lmao. Baker needs about 10 more elite seasons before he gets future hof cred. Allen and lamar are on the path though. 2020 class is insane as well. Burrow herbert tua love hurts
Best QB draft class ever? 😂 That would be 1984 and probably always will be. Elway, Kelly, Marino or maybe the 04’ class with Big Ben, Eli, Rivera. Hope great things from this class but let’s let them finish a season first
4th and 8 form the 44 yard line, not many coaches are going for it. I prefer a field goal attempt to a punt. Agree about the NBA though, shooting is too easy.
I think I'd probably take Jayden in a redraft largely because we all assumed(and still believe) that the offensive infrastructure in Washington is far inferior to that of Chicago, and his efficiency - even adjusted for yacOE, SoS, and some schemed up stuff is hugely positive. He also throws to the middle of the field WAAY better than I might have expected.
The passing game is more left and right because 2 high safety defense revolution changed the game. QBs across the board are worse at reading defenses. That side of the ball has finally discovered this reality
The last 3 games he's had 74% completion, 7 touchdowns to one pick, and a passer rating of 106, 125, and 120. Yes, it's against bad teams. But people are calling Daniels a god for putting up the same numbers against bad teams so the double standard is crazy. That, and yes, the Bears beat bad teams but prior to this with qb's like Fields and Trubisky, when they played teams that the Bears should have beaten, they struggled and the qb looked like shit. Caleb is already changing plays, calling protections, and going through his reads, which puts him far ahead of all Bears quarterbacks that came before him. Before anyone starts in with the same old arguments and insults, I'm not saying Caleb is perfect or that the Bears will make the playoffs. I'm just saying he's improving each week and instead of losing to bad teams or struggling against them, he looks great and beats them pretty convincingly.
@@joeshoe6184Neat. Daniels also had a very simple offense similar to his college offense, and he was damn near using only half the field. Caleb started behind an O line that could not get their shit together at all. We can do this all day long. And it's not like Caleb looked like total ass and threw a ton of picks and whatnot. He missed some throws and looked rushed. That's true. A couple of the throws missed I absolutely put on the receiver at the time who slowed down when Caleb expected him to keep running. But at any rate, they're ALL rookies. They're gonna have growing pains. And my biggest issue is people are calling Daniels amazing for beating bad teams, but when Caleb beats bad teams they say "well it was against bad teams." And Daniels also just lost to the Ravens, and they have a terrible pass defense, but Daniels looked fairly average against them. And despite what the goofball on the right in this video says, yes, Stroud was absolutely an outlier. That's not normal. We need to remember that the game and players are advancing at younger ages, but these things still take time. The restart on the right in this video ranting about how easy it is for a qb to come out of the gate and not need time to adjust is fucking DUMB.
Exactly. I don’t get it. Seems like everyone who didn’t like Jayden or liked someone else and was wrong are rushing to try and find a way to still be right. I guess they’re in the denial stage of grief lol
Jayden can't get to his second read in the pocket though. Hes a one read pull it down kind of QB. That doesn't translate long term especially after his spindly body gets turned into an accordion.
Bears fans stand proud we has someone who has the talent as Jay Cutler but the will to be the next 🐐. To all the critics saying Jayden is better than Celeb. Just remember Jayden is 3 years older than Celeb so Jayden might be already at his ceiling.
Jayden is better as of right now and it's not really close could Caleb catch up 2 him sure but 2 say that because he's 3 years older he may have peaked is a nasty take!
@@innercity28 Lol what he talking about just checked Jayden is a year and a month older. Caleb turns 23 next month and Jayden turns 24 in December. Jayden was 17 as true freshman and started.
I love Caleb and Jayden but they havent done ANYTHING SIGNIFICANT IN THE NFL. Winning 4 games in 6 starts is NOTHING. Progress and ascending sure great awesome. They both are nothing but a good start to career by rookie QBs.
Whatever helps you sleep at night lol. If you are a pass first and run second with lightening speed then you already have a higher ceiling. It’s the best dual QB model.
I love that what Colin listed for Bo Nix was “reads the field” (lol so the bare minimum for a NFL starter?) and that he will yell back at Sean Payton. Give it a rest Colin. Bo Nix isn’t good
Caleb comp is Aaron Rodgers/Mahomes. JD comp is Lamar/Randal Cunningham. Both good, but the running-back-style QBs are not sustainable, and they have never won a ring.
These are always so akward because Colin gets lulled into a false sense of security with parkins, proceedes to have his worst take in weeks, parkins explains why it's a stupid take, and colin looks like hurt that he said whatever he had said.
Polymarket is the greatest betting market ever invented by mankind. You can literally bet on individual words that candidates will say during their debates, how often they say the words, how much the line might move. It's insanity.
Sports pundits are the worst. 3 weeks ago Caleb was a bust, now he is a part of the best class ever. Next bad game he will have, which he will as a rookie, and he will be a bust again.
This is the real issue. The rules are contradictory. Henry fumbled into the endzone a few weeks ago and Ricard fell on it for a touchdown, but if that had happened for a first down the ball would have gone back to the spot of the fumble so why was the endzone fumble a TD???
Can someone tell Colin that Dak taking a 15 mill dollar pay cut doesn’t build a team? You barely get a mid starter with that money on a 250 mill plus cap. That argument makes him sound like a moron
Interesting. I agree on the football analogy. However, I enjoy college basketball and don't like the NBA at all. Like they said about football, it's a different game.
I’m not sure who the guy on the right is but it’s not true that a mobile QB isn’t as viable of a playing style later in their careers. For example, Steve young won his famous “someone take the monkey off my back” Super bowl when he was 33 years old. John Elway won his “back-to-back” Super Bowls at the ages of 37 and 38. These are just two quick examples of the mobile QBs doing well in the NFL. To say or infer that just because you’re the type of QB who happens to be mobile, and that mobility would somehow become a liability once they’re older is just silly. And it’s that archaic mindset that kept black QBs from getting the chances they deserved to prove themselves in the NFL. There’s more than one way to play QB in the NFL. Come on man, it’s 2024 not 1974!
Colin, get some Clear Eyes or something before you get on air next time. Danny, brilliant. Love your takes here, love your presence on the pod. So good to see a Chicago sports guy on the national stage again. I'm excited to see these same conversations in the future. Go Bears.
The quarterback market just leaves some quarterbacks out . This every quarterback has to make 40 million a year. If Fields would take 30 he would have a long NFL Career. 40 he may not get a job in the NFL .
