Communication issues? BS! Call better plays and USE your personnel properly! I don't EVER want to see Travis Homer or DeAndre Carter on the field unless it's for special teams or several injuries happen. Waldron had the 180 pound Carter trying to block a DE at the point of attack!

Eberflus seems like the kind of person who wants to control everything and then blame others when things don't pan out. If they lose this weekend he will have the 2nd worst HC record for the Bears behind Abe Gibron (early 1970s) 11-30-1, even worse than John Fox. It's not Fields, it's not Williams, it was partly Getsy but it's basically Eberflus. All you have to see is that god awful 4th and 1 play. It was a stupid play called at the wrong time and he threw his offense under the bus saying they didn't execute. Even if it was an execution problem a good coach would have taken the blame and then yelled in private. He misdirects.

The line sucked last year too. But yeah they were better. But Shelton is tremendously bad. He's undersized but a plus of his is supposed to be footwork and fundamentals and he's out there falling all the time without even being hit lmfao. We thought Patrick was bad but he was solid in hindsight.

This is 100% a Flus issue. How much experience does Waldron have as an OC? Not much. What bar did he set in Seattle? Some but not a world beater. Flus needs to be involved with every offensive play construct to offer a defensive perspective. “ Waldron, why do you have Carter blocking a Linebacker?” Not smart. If he’s not involved then he’s negligent if he is involved and doesn’t know to say something he’s incompetent and both have been true. He needs to be involved with every play design. My concern is that Flus is just incompetent as a head coach which permeates throughout the coaching staff

The O-Line wasn’t great last 2 years yet we had great running games outta Monty, Herbert both years, and Foreman. At a time when we had a terrible passing game and a running QB so 7-8 men in the box was common. C’mon man. Last year we couldn’t pass now we can’t run. WTF!

Courtney is such a good reporter but shes dead wrong about the line being a talent issue. Braxton is playing ok but everyone else is performing much worse than last year. Wright is hurt, but Teven is playing the worst ball of his career, he looks confused and is not playing aggressively. Thats coaching. Im sure it'll improve its just been too slow so far

I understand the comment on teh talent issue. But I feel that the talent level isn't low except for Shelton. Davis absolutely has talent. So does Teven. So does Wright. Jones is ... OK. I think its part scheme incoherence and part talent and part effort (Davis).

I'll tell you why Swift isn't working , because he didn't work on the 2 other teams before this one either . He has a role, but a lead back, isn't it. Poles could've paid Montgomery and should've paid Montgomery . He took $18 million from a rival. we drafted him and Didn't offer him more to stay knowing our line wasn't good at then either, but we sign the RB that Montgomery replaced in Detroit , that Detroit realized Swift wasn't that guy, but after a year in Philadelphia they must-have just watched his highlights to give him $6 million more than what we had in Montgomery! Eagles had a line and Swift wasn't RB1 there , Again that's why this is a 2nd round pick on his 3rd team. 👊🐻👇

Our OL talent is below average and injury prone, and our play calling is below average with an OC not understanding the strengths, roles, and placement of each player to maximize offensive effectiveness. Poles and Flus both also should own up and be serious but addressing these issues fast, otherwise it's gonna be a long season for the city.

Finally someone asked him if he alone is calling plays. He wouldn't answer yes or know just said that Flus will alert him of defensive formations. Which means Flus is really behind the play calling. Think about it. New OC and the plays look like last year.

The plays look like last year with Getsy and Nagy-esk confounding and WTF was that play calling. It's like who ever the Bears hire to run an offensive they suck and waste good talent at QB in a very serviceable Justin Fields (ask the Steelers) and the QB with the best potential in Bears history in Caleb Williams so far.

People say he didn't do anything for the line but he spent a top 10 pick on a tackle last year and Shelton is supposed to be our back up center. People keep forgetting Bates is hurt. He also drafted a tackle in this draft. Poles could've done more for lineman like I did want us to get Connor Williams but not everything works out perfectly.

@@lilpuppetforchrist4499not to mention linemen he brought in are succeeding elsewhere. Lucas Patrick... sounds like we have a coaching problem. Flus is a great defensive coordinator. Hell he might be a great motivator to players too but overall he ain't a great head coach. Hopefully things work out because the last thing I want to happen is the same cycle we went through with both Trubisky and Fields. Definition of insanity if we fire Flus this year and fire Poles this or next year. It's the biggest reason our young QBs don't work out here.

It's partially a talent issue up front in that the group will never be dominant or acheive what the Lions have, but that's a lack of investment and priority. With that said, the offensive line is playing with no continuity and once that gets figured out the line should be functional.

understanding personnel should be the requirement of coaches. 3 years of Flus’ staff has shown us that they don’t get that, HE doesn’t get that. took them 3 years to stop using Velus. not seeing that Swift was gaining rushing yards from a GOOD O-line. Constantly putting DJ Moore in bubble screens…i mean wtf is going on? why can’t this franchise get with the program on offense? we’re always playing catch up

no official friction last year as one WR was dj, team had low expectations on top, now its mandatory playoffs kinda thing, and that will just make players press harder. All you guys talk about is how they ran a dumb play on 4th down on the 1yd line. VERY Simple folks, they ran out of time to audible out of the play. CW Should and indicated he wanted to change the play and a veteran would have called TIME OUT. COMMUNICATION WOULD HAVE STOPPED THIS MISTAKE!!! Always give your QB the option to call a timeout if he thinks it’s appropriate.

At 3rd and one, Roschon at running back Mercedes at tight end maybe Billings or Blasinggame at fullback, go Huge, it would be fun just to see it. Outside of that, Poles will do his thing with the line next year, if he doesn't use all of our high picks on the O line i'm giving up on him.

Being under center creates a moment of hesitation in the defense which gives the offense some time and confusion with defense ends and the DLine. That’s why when Caleb is under center our offense looks competent

I'm with you 💯. Poles is incompetent. He traded for Claypool, let Roquan and Montgomery go, kept Velus when Velus has proved to be a liability literally every time he touches the ball. Hasn't improved the line apart from Wright and Braxton. Signed Swift after ONE good year out of 4, Montgomery who btw has never been under 800 rushing yards as a Bear, he let go when he could've resigned him instead of paying Swift.
