I can clarify here. Travis Bagent is an arm wrestling legend. One of the best left handed arm wrestlers ever and did very well right handed to. Currently he is not a top guy but still very strong.
No hes decent, but the bears will ruin him, 16 year fan and the bears have made 2 mvp worthy defenses and probably the worst at building any qbs especially new ones, hell look at fields, it's not fields fault, they failed him, no offensive line, good recievers who are all shorter than 5'8 and a shit rb, we fucked up trading monty
This kid is a natural QB . He reads and throws well . Im just worried bears coaching will screw him up . I feel like our coaching is mediocre at best . But i like this kid alot and we need a natural
@DemocratsReadMyBio Tyson Bagent Collegiate Career: 17,000 passing yards, 159TD, 69% Comp Rate. I believe he's a natural QB. He has a very high Football IQ also, he understands the game and reads the defense well....
@donnovicki9771 17,000 passing yards, 159TD, 69% Comp Rate and a whole truck load of records he broke....Bagent plays with a High Football IQ much more then Fields Football IQ....
@Rawkicks If you watched the last game. The defense was horrible in the 1st half, also miss run routes by the WR's, dropped balls, ......Hes only going to get better....I have a feeling he's going to start again even if Fields is healthy. Bagent Football IQ is too high for Chicago to sit him on the bench. Plus, I think his offense likes him as the commander in charge more than Fields
Ive been following this kid for 4 years at Shepard University...Hes a born winner.....Collegiate Career: 17,000 yards 159 TD, 48 int, 69%comp rate....Hes the NFL best kept secret
Division II has a TON of underrated talent that never gets a look. Think about it, many kids in high school didn't get the right coaching or have the same opportunities as others. They go DII and unlock their potential. Bagent is a prime example. Also Cooper Kupp. I also can attest to this. While I didn't go pro, the gain I made in a single year of DII far surpassed anything prior. In a single year I was a completely different player. The right coaching makes all the difference (my college coach was a HoF D1 coach, coached pro against Pele in what would be the MLS, was the head chairman of NCAA men's soccer across all divisions) and can completely change a players vision of the game, correct poorly coached fundamentals, and find how to make the most of a player's abilities.
Bears fans have a long history of loving our backup QBs. Jim McMahon loved to get hurt so we had Mike Tomczak and Doug Flutie. When the Bears went to the superbowl in ‘06 I wore my Kyle Orton Jersey to see Rex Grossman start. Then more recently when Jay Cutler went down we had the ever reliable Josh McCown. Bagent is an ice cold workhorse with a movie worthy story. The Chicago papers ran deep dives on the work he’d do. When he learned the bears called plays via helmet radio he hurry rigged his own and had a buddy call plays to him into the helmet radio then he’d run the play by himself, just to get used to it. The first time he’s live outside of WV was moving here to be a Bear. He’s played 2 reg season games now and all of Chicago loved him immediately. It didn’t hurt that he won his first ever NFL start. He’s the first D2 QB to start an NFL game since 1954. It’s too perfect for Chicago ppl. We’re eating it up. He’s my new favorite backup QB since Kyle Orton. (Yes I do have a fav backup, we go through a lot). I’ll be glad to have Fields back but it’s been really fun watching Bagent show what he can do. Plus he’s brought out 50+ of his family to each of the last two games. How can you not love it?
Ya throw another rookie into a MESS of a team/organization 4 weeks into the season and ruin him the same way we did Mitch and now Fields. You impatient bastards never learn. Smh
@@rafaelrivera5643I’m not saying we ruined Mitch but do you know the definition of ruined? Ruined means he’s done. He can’t go remedy all the issues he didn’t fix during his most crucial years of development because he’s on a new team. Ruined = ruined.
I wish the bears would hurry up and start him already. Losing faith in fields, whether it's coaching or not, give the kid a chance. 0-3 already, what's the worst that can happen?
No Fields is by far the superior player with the right system the bears offensive coordinator needs to be fired like after the Denver collapse game and then the Diotrit game we be sitting okay in the hunt actually
@@danr154 He doesn't look down field. he is afriad, I know from his perspective is different, but so many QBs know you have to look up field in the play is designed for a certain player, he needs to workout with big ben or farve, some damn body.
I think Bagent 17 should be giving a chance to start. He looks confident like Brock Purdy 13. Time to find out. Your best QB are late rounds picks. Looks like a young Drew Brees in preseason.
There’s no such thing as a record that stands for all divisions lol that’s why there is divisions. It may be the most upon the divisions but that’s like comparing apples to oranges. A DII record cannot be compared to a DI record.
@@soicyquinn How are they hard to compare. There is a talent disparity across the board but that goes both way. You may have more talented players at the Div 1 level than the Div2 or 3 level but that also means that Bagents record was accomplished with less talent. Bagent did get offers from Div 1 schools coming out of high school but, for whatever reason didn't accept them. Then he got some transfer offers as a college senior and opted to finish where he was instead.
@@samuelhowie4543 that’s why they’re hard to compare. The talent, the size And the schemes are much different the higher levels that go up. IM FROM MARTINSBURG WV bagents home town I want to see him be a star However I stand by my point that d2 comp is different than d1 And records shudnt be shared or compared amongst divisions There’s a reason he went undrafted Coz he was D2. Thts the point I’m maning
Please let him play, let's trade fields and save his career and keep rebuilding the defense with all the picks we have. Give him the shot. Can't get any worse from here.
Folks , Understand this! If you wanna quit your dream, give up then by all means go ahead. BUT if you wanna persevere & stick with it & never give up then realize that God( as this young man) has a plan for you. Way before you could even know what a football was! This goes for all you “ kids that have dreamed! Don’t ever give up!
Bagent actually had offers from D1 schools, but wasn’t teams he wanted, so he decided to stay with Shepherds. He also turned down offers from the Chiefs, 49ers, and Eagles.
@@cosmicbro1973What do you think his chances of starting would be with Mahomes, Hurts, and Purdy in front of him. Only chance I see would come from an injury and would end as soon as they were healthy, regardless of how well he played. Purdy might be the only one he could replace, but I doubt it since they didn't waste any time in trading Lance to avoid any controversy.
Not only did he have the most passing TDs in DII but also anyone else in DI…. 159… Case Keenum had 155 and he holds record in DI. Put some credit on Bagent
@@angelj313I totally agree! Hes a bum, bring in this guy,he can't be worst than Fields, coach better start changing things and I say give the game ball to this young fella. Go 🐻's !!
I understand he has a technique and I think he's okay. But you got to understand college is not fast like the NFL The Game Change it's going to take some time for him to learn but he's on the right foot
