Congratulations guys. I have been a Bears fan since 1979. I have seen lots of players come and go, but remember the special ones. This defense is so close to being dominant again. These 2 are building blocks to that dominance on the defense. I see it all coming together. Next year these 2 and a couple more from the defense will be pro bowl bound.

The Bears are building something great competing for championships is in the near future. The arrow is pointing up and the team is being built properly. This is the most optimistic I have been about the future of the Bears since 85 Bears. I just wish the negative people would stop trying to get rid of our young budding superstar to be 23 years old quarterback. If Poles is as wise as I know he is, he will trade down to 2 or 3 in the draft secure a future first round picks and a second round picks this year, and get an experienced star player, then draft Marvin Harrison to pair him with DJ Moore. Then with the 10th pick grab an edge rusher or an offensive tackle going with best available, with the second or third round pick they need to grab a center

5yrs at $93 mil, if that's the numbers, depending on the guarantees, seems like a fair deal for both sides. 8-9+% AAV of the cap for an elite corner is the going rate. JJ would get more on the open market, but he is not a free agent as he would have just been tagged. He's been all that the Bears could've hoped for and, at just 24, he can still get better.

Jaylon Johnson might be the best most sound corner in the NFL. I get sick of the Trevon Diggs hype. Unlike Diggs, Jaylon is sound, does not gamble unnecessarily. As far as Sweat is concerned I still can't believe Washington traded him. Sweat maybe better than Khalil Mack ...and I loved Mack. Sweat is a complete defensive end and maybe the best balanced Pass Rusher/Run stopper at his position
