Great fight! I feel like Goncalves did enough to get the close decision, but I can see how Rodtang's constant pressure won him the nod.

One if the beat matches I saw in a while. Goncalves got good Muy Thai Technique but he needs to engage more and win the judges. Can’t wait for rematch!

I love he goes crazy scary every match, but still remember to pay respect to opponent every time.

I don't know guys, I came here to watch Rodtang but that was pretty close... I honestly thought it was going to go the other way.

Walter just fled most of the time, which meant that Rodtang had to be focused on moving forward and then Walter would place a few good hits…but nevertheless always evading. He held up against Rodtang like no other fighter though (except Haggerty of course), displaying amazing technique. Great stuff!

Wow, Walter was one of the best fighters against Rodtang over the past years! I've loved that guy. He had great fight overall, congrats!

That's what I call a good fight, it was pretty interesting to see a Muay Thai fighter with such a different style as Gonçalves, with a lot of movement and switching stances, which isn't very common in Muay Thai

Goncalves should have been declared the winner of the fight. He was clearly hitting Rodtang more times than Rodtang was hitting him. I'm an Asian, but I really believe that the Latino should have been declared the winner.

Goncalves fights well. He strikes with varieties of Muay Thai which is incredible. He high kicked to the Rodtang's head many times. Low kicks and high kicks hit the target. Also couples of his beautiful reverse elbow. Rodtang just keeps going with power but lack of varieties of Muay Thai strikes. Rodtang complains about Goncalves not engaging, it's all about tactics. In my opinion Goncalves by decision.

Rodtang saiu com a cara inchada o brasileiro nem lesão teve. Foi garfado. 1,2 e 5 round o brasileiro ganhou. Acertou mais os golpes. O rond acertava os golpes na base conseguiu acertar só nos rounds 4 e 5 pq o brasileiro cansou. Mesmo assim pra foi uma garfada legal.

The referee needs to tell Rodtang to stop doing his job. To me it's clear as day, Goncalves won.

I don't feel like he won this fight. How did he win, aggression alone doesn't win fights.

Eventually Rodtang will not be able to take the significant damage he takes every fight and will be knocked out, people who fight with his style have short times in fighting sports, his strategy relys on his toughness, but it seems to me that Rodtang gets weaker every fight, he needs to change his style, or one day one shot might break his jaw and knock him out.

In Thailand the rules are made for battle feel. They never stack to conquer other neighbors. But if the neighbors attack them. They will never retract , retreat or quit U position to moving back ,reason behind them are the family in love ones so if they retreat, they lose the battlefield plus the land. So atack U opponent with no results. Is losing the battlefield. The winer will say. I have a nice deep massage 🤙 and laugh about it 🙏💚

Durante toda a luta Walter conectou mais socos, chutes e quedas; e bloqueou mais ataques que o adversário. Massss: pela postura sempre agressiva, pelo contato com o público (showman) e pelo seu legado, Rodtang é "campeão" 😅 Parabéns ao brasileiro pela luta impecável! Aqui deixo um resuminho do que rolou durante toda a luta pra quem quiser ir pulando. 1:01, 3:08 , 3:36 , 5:45 (preciso nem comentar quem defende e quem recebe tudo e depois ainda faz SHOWMAN), 6:49 , 8:06 (chute entra, não consegue chegar junto e depois chama pra porrada), 8:56 (consegue dar 1 knockdown e já faz mais show, a luta não acabou), e vamos dar uma pausa para mostrar mais showman e atitude antiespostiva: 11:20 (até o juiz tá incomodado) e 11:49. Voltando: 14:26 , 15:58 (final round e vemos quem tá com a cara amassada fazendo show e quem tá tranquilão concentrado na luta) E finalmente: 16:54 lado esquerdo vemos que nem acreditou que venceu, lado direito vemos a decepção de quem sabia que venceu a luta. De qualquer forma, boa luta né kkkk

Think they got that wrong, aggression going forward is one thing not hitting anything is another, for all his antics I felt Rodtang was just trying to cover his shortcomings. I had him outscored in every round, it was close though.

Rodtang lost clear as day. To give him the win for coming forward is to disregard the complete loss on points. Out striked, knocked down, and out classed. Emotional wreck. SMH
