His name is Umesh reddy, during 2000s he created havoc in Karnataka. He was caught due to public awareness, a barber informed to police when culprit went for a haircut. Truly a heroic work , funny thing is, he was awarded bare 5000 rupees for his bravery ! that guy saved countless woman's life as Umesh was untraceable to police system.

The main thing with these days crime stories is they trying to portray the antagonist as a lead hero, like he did some achivement by causing unbearable pain. Just look at the title Beast, what is depicts one a strong person? I see this person as a criminal, wicked and hatefulness

As much as these crime related documentaries are splendid to watch..one should also remember how it can increase the crime cases in the society as well. Just recently a 7 years young girl got killed and then dismembered in Bangladesh. When asked, the criminal said that he learnt from crime petrol that how to clear up a crime scene. See this is where the problem lies. U are giving entertainment in the cost of giving ideas to the predators and murderers. There should always be a limit on who’s watching what.

In 2003...there was a South Korean movie "Memories of murder" it has same plotting just like this one...in that movie also "Culprit" was never found....instead two detectives by mistaken killed a young boy...becoz they suspected him....

The true criminal in memories of murder was never caught for his crimes in 1980s... But he was caught in 2018 or 19... His dna matched with few victims, but the sad part is, the monster lived peacefully for around 30 years and was already Oldman when he was caught....
