I got Loma winning, who knows maybe even by TKO. But as much as this guy is a loud mouth he's proven himself to be a solid trainer. He's been training Teofimo since he was a kid and helped him take IBF title. Just to get that far is already extremely hard. Fans of some of the top pound for pound fighters often don't understand how far some challengers have come to just get a shot against people like Loma. There is no way Teofimo Lopez should get a different trainer and have to deal with a totally different chemistry for his most important fight. No matter who he trains with he's probably not going to beat Loma. But his father is training him is hands down his best bet.

His dad utilized many diff forms of training from bruce lee to mayweather to GGG etc etc he's a mastermimd but so is papachenko so this will be a great match (: i got loma winning tho because he's loma lol

The coach does not always have to pick the shots. The fighter is the pilot he knows what shots he wants to hit and besides this is an open workout it's about showmanship he was working full rotations on the shots as opposed to big long combos

@james arte bro that's actually how it is done. actually it will not even work if you dont do that. without feeling that resistance from pad you will lose your consistency and speed and just throw unprecized punches in the air. I'm not suggesting that you don't know anything about boxing cuz I dont know you that well, but consider having a bit more complete knowledge about boxing before criticizing so it will not affect everyone's preception of boxing.

Yet I do kind of stand by my comment however inexperienced, and welcome your feedback on the below. They would not be hitting empty air, as you describe, they would be hitting a stationary glove, or at least one that is only moving side to side. Or if really good, back and forward as well. Wouldn't that give more realistic feedback than someone slapping your glove as you hit theirs? My gut tells me there is something off with this practise, whether it is widely used or not. @@jamesart9 I agree with you that it can cause a misunderstanding in boxers perception of reality, however the main point is that no boxer even does this workout to get or adjust their perception of their power. hitting pad is a tool to teach the body how your body should coordinate fast during an exchange, defence or attack. so here is how it goes on (although my english is no that good i will try to explain it with deatail so hopefully you get som kind of idea on what I mean): So the thing is that when you box, your back and shoulder muscles or working and turning 90 degrees towards the opponent or your target in order to throw a punch, for throwing a 1-2 (jab-cross) your upper body (mainly from hips up) turn 90 degrees (more or less) 2 times. To do that turns from hips quickly, it demands so much adaptation and work on your lower and upper back muscles. When the trainer makes resistance on your punches by pushing towards every punch it will catapult your body to get your (for example left side of body in a jab) back to the place in order to get ready for turning your right side and throw a right cross. just like when a pro wrestler in WWE cataplults himself on the ropes of the ring. its like you punching with a rubber band and after that you will get faster hands. after doing a padwork your body and lower back will coardinate much faster when punching, slipping and doing combinations as it adapts to stop the movement, get back and initiate the next movement. another good effect is it as harder resistance you get from the pads the more pressure your muscles tissues that are working will get which results in harder/faster and more precise punches. hope I could explain it as well as you deserve.
