the tamron ef 24-70 works great aswell. almost no vigneting, plus image stabilizer!

I'm looking at purchasing a beast grip pro. Need to know.... I will be using an iPhone se wearing an OtterBox case. Will that have any adverse affect on it working properly with the rig. Meaning, will that cause any problem with spacing/view between phone camera and housing/lens? Thank you for sharing.

Yes, but the beastgrip itself is a case. Just take your phone out of it's case when you're using a beastgrip.

Yes it works well ! I've got one. You just need to use the supplied key to use the widest gauge to hold your Z5 Premium.

hi Edward, unfortunately DX lenses will not produce a good results with the DOF adapter. The DOF MK2 is designed to be used with fast (f1.2- f2.8) full frame lenses to achieve the best results with shallow depth of field. It is possible to mount cropped sensor lenses, however it will produce a lot of vignetting and it's not recommended.

This is from Beastgrip's User Guide page about the DOF Adapter MK2: "Although crop/APS-C lenses like the Canon EF-S or Nikon DX will technically work, they will have a lot of vignetting and are not recommended."

Imagine on iPhone 11 with Smart HDR generation 2. Yeah I’m trying to save up for it now for my iPhone. Google has nice HDR but it applies just a bit too much artificial sharpening by default

@Giovanni Galvez I cannot comment on Pixel photo quality since I never tried out Pixel in the first place, but I can definitely comment on iPhone since I did tried out both 11 Pro and last year's XS. Give me the choice between those two iPhone and I'll take the XS in a heartbeat. The 11 Pro's artificial sharpening was shockingly bad, and Deep Fusion only made things worse. XS with Smart HDR is miles better than 11 Pro with Smart HDR or Deep Fusion.

I just saw this guy named Blake Worrell speak in Berlin. Apparently used a 50mm Cannon lens and because there was vinetteing he made the film 4:3 and somehow it wokred very well with the story and has been winning awards… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aeLym1cjE00.html

because in dslr you can do 7863fps slow like mate 30 pro and shot video with 4k 60fps under 2000$ now you see the diference

Because you still need to spend extra for modern lenses and accessories, and modern lenses are far from cheap. Beastgrip's DOF Adapter only accept old school Full Frame manual lenses and I've seen some old manual lenses produce better photo quality than some modern auto lenses. Plus, there are an abundance of cheap Full Frame manual lenses on the Internet. Also, you have total portability with the Beastgrip. You simply detach the phone once you have finished your work and continue use the phone as usual after that.
