The Beasties have a unique style of being hilarious and not taking themselves too seriously, while also being incredible with their rhymes, beats. Legends. RIP MCA.

Got sick of toddler music so I played this for my 2 year old son about a month ago and told him it was “the Robot Song”. The video has been on a steady repeat and it’s sure to top my Spotify Wrapped this year. My kid officially has the best musical taste of any toddler. Haha

They should send this song on a SpaceX rocket so in case aliens find it they will know we aren't lame.

Even almost 25 years ago they had already earned the right to say that and those almost 25 years later it means even more. The Beastie Boys discovered the fish eye lens in the late '80's and never looked back.

Their outfit actually makes me laugh. Not because it's silly looking, but because they honestly look like real engineers, and they're just spitting bars and dancing around in public. So any normal person would be like "What the electrician doin'?"

This was and still is absolutely epic. Not only is it goofy and fun but it goes hard! Using the electronic influence combined with a hip/hop baseline and some pretty unique cadence really did produce an enigamatic sound. They smashed this one out of the park to be quite honest, it’s fun but also the sum of a lot of talent.

I recently played "Intergalactic Planetary" for my stepson who's 4 years old and lives in Colombia. He absolutely fell in love with the song and its music video! Even though I told him the real title, he adorably refers to it as "the robot song." Before this first came out, Beastie Boys had been out of sight for a few years. Nobody knew what it would sound like, music wasn’t leaked, nothing was spoiled. Then they dropped this on MTV and everybody saw and heard an instant classic.

The musical switch up at 3:13 is incredible. They throw in an upright bass and just turn it something totally new but it’s so subtle somehow

New fan here. First time I heard this song was in the Futurama episode featuring The Beastie Boys, such a fun cameo. Now after listening to License to Ill and knowing them better, I can't help but love these guys! They are so much fun, and seem to have a great time making art. Great bars, great video, all embracing Hip Hop to the fullest, and unique production and vocal delivery on top of it. They ooz fun and just capture this era of music so well. They're like MF Doom level of nerd cool, I love it.
