@@Blondejam It's been a while but I recorded the trumpet solo before I upgraded my little home-recording set-up. At this point I didn't have a proper DAW, interface and microphones. I remember playing the muted trumpet-solo into a stuffed shoe-box with a Zoom H2N portable recorder while I heard the Sambrosa-track on my Mp3-player. Then I mixed the wav from the Zoom with the original track using audacity, a free sequencer software.
Thank you Beastie Boys . Now put together a band and take these homeboys on the road with you. Youngsters need to hear real music like this . i know you know what Im talking about. !
Lieben Dank, das war damals ein cooles Projekt, ich hatte das "Thema" schon immer im Ohr beim Hören des tracks und fand auch immer, dass ein Solo gut dazu passen kann.
It's me, just a music dude from Hamburg/Germany. Nix sampled, all the three parts (Intro, Theme, Solo) were recorded in one track by playing along with the Sabrosa track.
