Loved the question Sir, on part 2, you could have done a U sub, so u = 2x-1, and then x = 0.5(u+1) as your numerator(as well as differentiating for du), is way to do part B), instead of algebraic division.
Mr Astbury you absolute legend. I would have genuinely flopped todays paper if not for your sessions. to be honest, i'd say that proving that something is an integral with parametrics, forming partial fractions, and solving a partial fraction integral, is easily 10 marks if not more
@@Hippogan Did you do the paper today? There was a 🔥 implicit differentiation question as the last question. It looked disgusting and completely wrong but then got the right answer.
also if it's 1 (or any other number) and divided by x or t or whatever variable, but it has to be 5o the power of 1, so for example 1/x would integrate to give ln x, but 1/x² won't integrate to give ln x² !!
it does integrate to ln (t+1) ? the only time it wouldnt be ln is if the t has a power anything other than 1, so t^2 ort^3 wouldnt give you a ln integral
