Beat 2048: Strategy Walkthrough (4096) 

The game is pretty easy until you end up in a situation where it forces you to move your big number out of the corner, then you can get really screwed over.

Normally I stick with the bottom row.. but for the sake of explaining my strategy I'll refer to the top row. Now.. typically I'll stick to like.. the top left corner like you do and build up that top row.. but when the numbers start getting bigger, I start to build up the second row next to the top right corner in a kinda 'zig-zag' pattern, so that when it's possible, I can consolidate them all the way along and back to the top left corner again. 1st row [2048][1024][512][256] 2nd row [16][32][64][128] Like that.. I only do that when I start to run low on space though. I'm basically 'switching corners' without actually moving the top row at all.. and I'm working with a 3x4 grid instead of 4x4. Honestly though, I tend to get screwed over a lot by having to move down (or up in my case), because it flattens out, so you may have the better strategy here.

I've got 8192 :D on my mobile phone (4x4 grid of course). How I did this was like when in 4:06. When I've filled the top row. I start to gather my highest number on the third line to the right. ( so the 8 in the shot at 4:06. Would be my highes proritised number. And I'd build on that. So I changed my prority of numbers from the left, to the right. Like 2048>1024>512>256>64. And under the 64 I'd have a 32. So then I'd build it likes on the third row. 4>8>16>32. That way I can make a chain reaction and collapse it all, once I get a 2 or a 4 to join together. So it'd be and 8. Then I'd join them together and continue this all the way to join 2048 together with what WAS 1024. And then continue this :D ). Long explantion. So I it's alright if you go like TL;DR

4:49 Hardest part of the game. What makes 4096 more difficult than 2048 is when you have one of each tile + the extra 2048 tile you didn't before. Before this point, It's not much more difficult than reaching 2048, other than keeping it going longer.

FINALLY BEAT THE GAME OMFG. only took me 2000 tries. Fuuuuu

I've gotten a 4096, 2048, 1024, 512, 256 and 128 before and then managed to get my hands to slip and press down. ._.

I'm at 4096 and over 50,000 in the middle of a game. I work my numbers to the top right. this means the first part of my game is to get all my biggest numbers to the top right and keep them there. The biggest score for me, since I work towards the top is to make sure that I never have to move down. That is the most important, because you don't want a random 2 or 4 behind big numbers. once you have a solid row going on top 128, 256, 512, 1024...the key then is working your second row left for big numbers. as you fill the first row go right again. make sure to always keep your biggest number in the corner

4096 Is Not Actually A Black Tile. In The Official Game Is Some Sort Of Green Colour.

I got the 2048 tile, but I can't get the 4096 tile because there are 12 blocks so that means I have to press up and then bad luck happens!

I played this game for about a month and i came up with many different strategies, this one worked the best, it's a shame that it was already in use before i came up with it myself.

I got 2048 score ..but no you Win or haraah or nothing. What happened ?

First, it was Bike Rides, now it is Ambler - Video Classica, now it is Bubble Bath, lastly it is At The Fair.

Your strategy is good, but it would be even better if you "wrap around" the numbers, so that once your top row is full and has high numbers, the second row should have the higher numbers on the right not the left, so you can chain it around. Otherwise you constantly find that you have gigantic numbers on that left side of your second row taking up space.

normally I start with up right corner and then the decreasing numbers go down then up then down again

@GamerVsGenius Sorry, but it's incorrect that it's because you have a 4096 piece that you run out of space. The 4096 piece is not larger than others. 7:48 I'm sure you can see that the state of the game, had the name of the 4096 piece been 1024, the game wouldn't be in a harder state than on your way to 2048. The difficulty doesn't skyrocket till you have one of each. Just so I'm not a complete dick. I watched this from one end to the other. Congratulations! I couldn't do it.

With this strategy i got the 4096. When I don 't know this video i lose when i reach the 512 tile. I am no.1025 from the subscribers

I had a video. I come in the upper right corner. There at the end of 2048 Quickly, I reached 512, and don't know what I must do, so I had a game over.

Mine is 2048. Today I practice reaching the black tiles. Starting 4096, the tile is black.

As someone that has a score of 78,000 +, I'd like to point out that that strategy isn't good. You use up way too much space and well, fail at 52,000.

Now that I get 2048 fairly regularly, my goal is to get to the 2048 tile with the least possible points (which mean the least possible moves). My record is 20,084 points. I consider anything lower than 20, 300 points or less a victory. Unsure if i'll ever get less than 20,000
