I once found a stack of records sprewn (is that a word?) across the alley in back of my house. Some were in the covers, some not. Some were scratched up, but you know I was out there like a crackhead picking up all them joints. They were all spanish records but I got some drums and crackly samples. One mans trash is another mans treasure haha

Shit...dollar bins are becoming more and more rare due to all the fucking hipsters driving the prices up because it is soooo hip to by vinyl even though you don't own a record player. Record stores are now charging a minimum of like $5.00 for shit I've paid 50 cents for!

most of the stores over here have closed down , so very reluctant to get them rarities when they were available.

It's a shame. On a related note: I had the news on the other morning...and it was the Today show. One person said "oh and vinyl is making a comeback"...I cringed.

I'm always either in the thrift store/goodwill. You can even check craigslist under the free section. Just type in records or vinyl and sometimes you'll get lucky to see an ad that says" free vinyl for pickup.
