I FEEL THE MAGIC...Cutch just hit his 2000th hit (6/11/2023)...Great memories playing cornet, in the early-1970s PITT BAND (as Benny Benack ripped through beautiful dixieland solos, in the Pitt Stadium stands).
Thanks for sharing that memory. As a kid, we had season tickets for Pitt games as my mom worked for an affiliate of the dental school. Also remember Benny Benack playing at Forbes Field and was in attendance at Game 2 of the 1960 WS.
@@45RPMemories The only baseball game I ever went to as a kid was game 7...I remember Mantle playing catch in the outfield, before the game (just like it was yesterday).
During the 1960 season, "Benny Benack and the Iron City 5" used to come to the games at Forbes Field, and during the games would work their way around the stands playing this, and the fans loved it! Thanks for sharing! These old memories are coming back!
