the amount of influence these two guys alone had on the art of turntablism is phenomenal. wore out the VHS tapes back in the day. thanks for imparting the skills guys, absolute legends.
Just to hear you talk about when YOU first heard and recognized these patterns when they came out...priceless. Steve Dee, Aladdin, X-men, ISP AND of course Beat Junkies were my teachers back in the day. One ☝️ love fam.
I know im randomly asking but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can give me!
Shoutout to Rob Swift for the insane amount of knowledge the bro drops on his channel. Shoutout to Melo D , Babu, D-Styles and all the Junkies for their amazing online lessons. Also salute to Q-Bert for his do it yourself dvd series. The amount of wisdom dropped from these OGs to keep the culture alive is appreciated and respected.. Salute...
Fun fact for all you turntable nerds out there: people have always said 'halftime', but it's actually more like 2/3. Take a 100bpm track and strobe it, it'll end about about 66bpm.
Best tutorial I've seen period. Ps strobing is tough! I've been trying everyday for 3 weeks and am starting to be able to do it thanks to this video. I woulda never understood to start the 2nd TT on the upbeat of 1 hi-hat. Thank you!
I remember listening to these breaks back in the 80s thinking they sounded like something recorded a few decades before the 80s as they sounded so old and nothing like the music of the 80s but most were only 10-15 years old which I found really odd.
Great to see my favs DJs doin their thing. I remember Melo's tape back in the days trying to copy his style of scratching... Babu without a doubt my no1 when it comes to juggling - btw, pretty sensey-style at 4:39 😂👍💪
Thanks for the Vid, helped me A LOT! Little Critics; your Microphone sounds really weird, like you recorded with 2 mics and put it in a stereo mix.. KEEP IT UP BeatJunkies!
Dur dur et dommage que les tuto sont en anglais la prochaine fois svp essayez de les maître juste par défaut comme sa c et toute la communauté qui pourra évolué et encore merci pour c et bon tuto
Its the same movements and timing, just use different parts of the record. This video is strobing. If you check out Rob Swift's video on Chasing, its slightly different.
Reloop Rp2000, Reloop Rp 4000 for great begginer direct drive table at great price of $199-$280. Also Audio Technica Lp-120 but they don't have quite as much torque. Also Stanton t-92 USB is a nice table but more like $300.
@@briank3799 hey dude....i scratch hamster style as well and trying to follow this can be confusing, its not as simple as saying "oh just reverse it" i havent found a lot of tutorials online for "us hamster folks" but i know dj emma/short-e scratches hamster style and is dope as fuck, i looked to see if i could find a strobing tutorial but didnt see one but it would be worth looking through her channel tho: ru-vid.comvideos
hey might be too late but if anyone who juggles Hamster style or reverse crossfader, ive just uploaded a hamster chase pattern on my channel, maybe it will help some of hamster guy out there. cheers
It would be helpful to see the waveform to get a feel of which deck each sound was coming from. Just watching the decks is not helping me much. This technique needs too much concentration! 😬😬😬
Maybe those who comment on this channel are all geniuses, but, honestly, I have not understood the mechanics of this amazing technique. Maybe a graphical representation of the steps to follow, as well as a slow motion of its implementation, would help.
