You can play randomly as well! If you're not good with finding melodies, use Patcher and a the VFX Key Mapper. You can set it to remap the keys you press to stay within a key or even put in notes from another melody to find variations. ;-) Would be awesome if Simon shows us his take on this nifty feature of FL Studio!

dope vid simon! Just a little tip, for tuning 808s, you can open your 808 sample right click wav form, then open in audio editor then right click detect pitch regions then you will know what key it's in, and finally you can tune accordingly 🧨

I always look forward to your videos and music. Really helpful tips and a lot of useful knowledge. Just made a beat using your advice about changing the 808 in the piano roll to make it fit with your beat. I'm not used to making good 808 patterns (because I normally don't make trap or hip hop music) but I'm always learning and working on different genres. Love the beat you made 🔥
