When you see someone pickup something you want, don't look don't say a word. Just be casual, they more than likely will put it down. If they know you want it, it's a tip off and they will keep it

I had the best flea market score of my life the other day! A ps2 with 36 games for $60 and a heavy sixer Atari 2600 with 21 boxed games for $80 and one game payed for everything!

Yup! We all win some and lose some. I watched a guy in front of me in line at a thrift buy a sealed lego Death Star set for $15. Looked it up and the set was worth around $1200. I was pretty bummed, but there’s always more deals out there.

Those were music and concert dvds in the new stock crates next to your games. They can hold a lot of value, dont overlook them. Ps, at 15:59 That Randy oxford band dvd is worth $45.

Learning to handle reseller and collector's anxiety when thrifting or going to garage sales is huge. There's always going to be something you will find to flip or collect. You win some and lose some. We've all been that way whether it be at goodwill, facebook marketplace, garage sales, vendor malls, etc. Be thoughtful of where you look first at these places, but no need to add stress when going out. Have fun and the deals will follow. :)

Man, I was a minute late to a Wii lot of like 20 games, and they had a bag full of em. Got there as they were leaving, looked at them, said “that’s an awesome score, good game!” It legit is just a game, you’ll find the games again, and you’ll be first. Just don’t be salty, man

Had a goodwill score today. Cib dk 2 game and watch for $2. The cashier said that the reason it was priced so cheap was because it was “missing the watch part” lmao

I've had very similar experiences with the last pick up. I've seen a few folks get some great games, talked with them for a few minutes and congratulated them on finding a great haul. It does get very competitive out there but at least for me, I've always been a good sport about it and most will chat for a minute. There was one time this didn't happen, no conversation took place and I found such a great haul and the fact it was hidden throughout the store, I'm guessing that was no accident. Awesome job with the vid Rick 👊

Just sold a disney infinity character lot so I can help you out on the ones to look out for. The big value ones to look out for are any of the Mickey’s (sorcery mickey goes for the most). Hulkbuster (the hulk ironman suit) goes for a good bit too. Best advice, look for star wars, big sized characters, new disney movie characters, and mickey!

Do you know of there is a price guide online for free by chance? I assume you just look up the # on the base to find them? I have like 4 totes of Skylandes and the Infinity figures and trying to find the best way to price them out if there is still value in these? Thanks!

My "first one to the new cart" story is when I scored Mario Party 4 for the Gamecube for $1.99. It's only happened once, but it was super exciting.

Hey Rick, the last couple years I've just been buying digital games and subscribing to game pass. Your channel inspired me to pick up a PS3 bundle from Facebook and since then I've been game hunting slowly building a collection. Recently found a complete in box eye of judgement with 2 decks of cards for £5. I'm so hyped about this and really enjoying collecting so thanks for your channel and hard work

as someone who has been into game hunting for much of my life, when i found out i needed a TI-84 for high school i began searching yard sales/thrift stores for them because i knew i could find one cheaper than the $100+ new price. ended up finding one for $5 at a yard sale soon after and it's been working for me ever since

I’m a subscriber! The Goodwill I have around my area doesn’t sell games anymore. Big bummer. I use the Goodwill online shop but shipping killed the thrill of good deals and hunting in the wild. This happened to me there was a kid with a mental disability in front of me at goodwill and they just put out some good ps2 games and he took forever until his dad said to move out the way for me and I started grabbing the ones I wanted and found Wii sports, Wii sports resort, and a few good ones for ps2...well the kid came back and asked for resident evil dead aim on ps2 and of course I couldn’t say no.

Fun fact: the Hello Kitty Space Millennium Wedding plush is also from McDonalds. It was part of a set to celebrate the new Millennium. Perhaps you should’ve picked it up, they’re quite exclusive and limited.

Absolutely right about being a few minutes late. Just last summer walked into a garage sale only to see someone walking out with a cardboard box about 15x15x15 full of console game cartridges! Found the table they were setting at and the sign was still there. Video games $3.00 each!!!!! Making it even worse is it was one of two garage sales a few houses apart and I choose to go to the other one first!!!! 😭😭😭😭

A lot of our charity shops etc, in the UK, are selling DVDs for around 25p. I even found somewhere they were 10 DVDs for £1. Another charity shop locally has an offer......fill a bag with CDs and DVDs for £1.

The only Disney Infinity that's worth a bit of money (not much but still more than the usual), is a Sorcerer's Mickey figure. It was exclusive to Toys r Us and it was limited to 5000 pieces.

Was at a thrift store here today. Whole store was half off for the holiday. Found a Mary Kate and Ashley movie on DVD was $1.50 with the 50% off. Sells for about $20 on eBay if it wasn't for your videos I never would've knew that Olson twins DVDs hold a decent value.

Always take the batteries out if not in use my high school dot matrix gameboy was in storage for 15 years recently got it back only to find the batteris exploded I was able to clean it and it works fine now :)

A few months ago I had a guy at goodwill try to get the 360 I already grabbed. Trying to tell me it was only worth 20 bucks and it was an xbox one, dude was either a absolute idiot or was really trying to talk me out of buying it. Guy just kept talking, I had to tell him to STFU and leave me alone.

I scored on a tote of Wii stuff at a yard sale. Had a Wii with all hook ups, 2 wiimote and nunchucks, all of the accessories for Wii sports, a zapper, a sweet Wii rifle, the Wii workout thing for Wii fit and like 23 games. All for $20 and the first game that sold was Wii play for $32 on ebay. I was so stoked!!!

Btw...I TOTALLY understand how awkward those situations can be, Retro Rick. There are times when I've had first dibs on a whole big stack of movies/games and I like going through a ton of items in my grocery cart while I do this. I'm definitely a collector/re-seller hybrid too so I do keep a lot of my purchases for me personally while flipping the rest (or giving some of them away as gifts too). But these decisions take time and some people don't get that. Ha, ha!

Lesson learned when it comes to collecting games, movies, toys and more: always be early to a thrift store, flea market, swapmeet, garage/yard sale because because the good items may be gone.

I picked up a nice lot of NES games with some uncommons, a N64 controller, and two NES controllers for $30 at a garage sale. I bought all the PS3 games he had out initially for $11(10 games total), asked if he had more games and he did. One NES game payes for everything and then some. I was only $41 all in with everything. The one duplicate game I bought covered more than the cost of everything and now I get to put games in my collection for free. Always ask guys! There was also this guy who walked up as a was walking away with my haul and looked very mad at me, he turned around and got back in his car without even checking the sale. Ironic thing is that I left some good stuff behind, because I'm moving in a couple months and I'm only looking for games not in my collection right now.

Sounds like a good week, Rick! Sad you didn't grab The Long Kiss Goodnight and those Hello Kitty's, but I get it. I lucked out this week and finally found a GBA at my pawn shop, then saw they had moved Crimson Skies for Xbox from their normal shelf to the $2 bin. Super awesome game by the same folks that made Battletech! Also grabbed a 3DS lot on marketplace (incl. Pokemon Sun) for a decent price and traded some DVD series for Pokemon Sapphire.

Good find as always!!! Need for speed underground 2 is great game! I honestly just walk by quickly if I see people already at the game section/cart at thrifts,no need to wait around. You win some you lose some. Guy should’ve hustled out of there to beat you to the next store instead of standing around wasting time 😅.

This has happened to us so many times but usually on the losing end 🥴 Can’t win em all I guess. Man! You are so so close! The algorithm is so ridiculous because we only found you in December when you commented on our game room video and you were at almost 40k I think. Like 60k subs in 9 months! Man, been coming up dry the last couple weeks at my local thrift. Pretty sure I have some competition out there. I always leave behind good stuff if it’s not really my thing and it’s ALWAYS gone when I go back. Happened to me a couple weeks ago at an estate sale, Dude was in front of me went for the games and so did I , He grabbed the boxed games I grabbed all the cartridges, Ended up getting EARTHBOUND. I was like keep your open boxed games. Also ended up getting all four dragon warrior NES games.

I know I wasn't number 1 or 100,000. I do know I watch every episode. I have tried my best to find everything you show in videos. I've gotten 90 percent of what you have. There are some Disney Infinity characters that are worth selling. Spiderman and Black Suit Spiderman are decently valuable, I’ve also sold them in lots based on the franchise before (Marvel, Frozen, etc)

Dude, saw you trying to grab that Wii controller and I had a flashback from three weeks ago. I was in a Goodwill and went to reach for a PS controller and I grabbed the iron right in front of it to move it out of the way and BURNED my hand. Someone had tested the iron and just left it there. Luckily I pulled away quick, but still stung. GW needs to isolate items like curling irons or anything that heats up. Be safe out there!

unfortunately this stuff dont get found in places like Houston. I never see games, controllers: barely have dvd/vhs selections - pretty much all clothing and junk(semi modern) toys

I had the same situation when it came to a huge haul of video games that were recently donated to my local thrift store. As I was looking up values on the games, he started looking through my stack. There was no confusion about the stack belonging to me. Talk about weird. Some people don't have social skills while others don't care.

Really?! Our Goodwill's stopped putting Games and most electronics in actual stores. They put it all on their web store auction site instead. Won't find anything like that at our Goodwill's stores no more.
