As a mod map maker for beatsaber i can confidently say that they unfortunately won't. They have done a couple of things that give us modmappers more freedom (such as new lighting systems, more background assets etc.) but ultimately they leave it up to us to create these experiences, which is honestly how it should be imho, there are so many talented artists and developers out there and when working together we can create things that the beatsaber team never could
That moment you realize, that you've played all but one of these maps xD No but seriously, thanks to all these mappers who take their time to make these really beautiful maps
@@musicimpact7120 All of these maps use Noodle Extensions which isn't available on the Quest version of Beat Saber afaik. So you'd have to buy the game on Steam and play it on PC to play these maps. I remember there being a version of Mapping Extensions for the Quest (similar to Noodle Extensions, but far less flexible and no longer used), but it was quite jank and usually less then playable. You have to keep in mind that even high end PCs often struggle with these maps, so the Quest wouldn't even stand a chance running these at playable framerate...
@@Chickenbreadlp ahh ok thanks for the response. I don't know why I didn't get the notification for this which annoys me cause I really wanted to know..
@@musicimpact7120 Noodle extension is available on the quest now so everyone have acess to those songs now, I've been addicted to noodle songs since it released at christmas lmao
Amazing video! I remember playing my first mapping extensions map when that first came out and that blew me away, but seeing what can be done now is something I would have never thought would have been possible 3 years ago when I got the game
Has anyone ever thought of how fully immersive beat saber would work? Like I think that would be feeling the notes hitting you if you miss them, and giving force feedback on your arms and hands when you get a bad cut.
All of those are absolutely beautiful unfortunately i'm still way too unskilled to be able to play any of those.. (except lost memory.. managed to barely not fail only twice until now)
Just keep playing. If there is anything this game taught me is that the best way to improve at it is to just keep on playing. You'll get there eventually :)
31:59 Having been played for 1.5 years, this remains the winner of all patterns. The rotation of the elements WITHIN the spinning tunnel effect, creates this morphing effect. 60 fps video and compression doesn't do it justice.
Props to all the creators, i loved them all ❤ they were truly beautiful. In other words im completely speechless Edit: and props to the creator who put this video for all of us to see
Don't know if you'll ever see this but your video was beautiful, you're a great player and those songs are a true work of art. Thank you ! Edit : Could you please tell me where you found the model for those sabers :) ?
Well, first of all: Thank you soooo much for the kind words! Really means a lot to read comments like this :) As for the sabers: They are called "Galaxy Default V3" and you can find them here - modelsaber.com/Sabers/?id=1606778452&pc
Man this makes me wanna spend all my money on a pc to get NE now cause it’s still not out on quest 2. These look stunning and make me wanna experience them myself
Imagine if beatsbaber did a liveshow (kinda like fortnite) but the entirety of beatsabers community was competing for the top spot during the song/ show and they gave a prize to the winner.
I've experimented aroudn with this a few times, it's cool but the text is often just too small or gets in the way for the player. Not completely dismissing it though, it's just something I would need to play around with a little more to get working right
I've looked multiple times and couldn't even find a map with that name. If you mean Somewhere Out There though, that is in the most recent beautiful maps video I made. The map wasn't out back when I made this video so I was literally impossible for me to include it in this one
@@theMJ_bs kinda surprised you even saw my comment but yeah i checked it's somewhere out there it's been a while so I had to get on and check my downloaded songs
now that I've see this, I've realized that my mods either arent working correctly or my settings are incorrect. there are so many effects missing in my game but I cant seem to figure out how to fix it. could you list what mods you're using and what version of beat saber this is? also did you use ModAssistant or some other mod installer or did you install them all manually? and what is your PC specs? I really want my game to look like this so badly T_T
Ok, this is a lot to get through... If you are sure that you have core mods and all the required mods (including their dependencies like "Heck" for NoodleExtensions and Chroma) for the map (check with ModAssistant) you should make sure that you've set both "Environment Effects" and "Expert+ Environment Effects" set to "All Effects" in your Player Options. You should also make sure that you have bloom and mirror effects on, since it can cause walls to look weird if disabled. As for game version: Mods for the newest version of Beat Saber (1.19) are still being updated and things like NoodleExtensions, Chroma, etc. aren't available yet. So in order to play these maps today you would need to downgrade your game to version 1.18.3 (Guide: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1805934840 ) and then install all the required mods through ModAssistent (It should recognizes your current version of the game and install the corresponding mod versions.) My current PC-Specs are on my Twitch-Channel, but back then I was using this: • CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 • GPU: RTX 2070 Super • RAM: 16GB DDR4 @ 3000Mhz • MB: Aorus B450 Pro Though keep in mind that the game looks a lot smoother on screen compared to VR. Some of these maps were not enjoyable at all for me to play in VR, but at least they still look good on screen. Hope this helps a bit. If there are any other problems just let me know here.
I haven’t uploaded in a bit because ive been to busy doing noodle extension levels that i dont wanna record so maybe ill make a vid kinda like this also thanks for this kind of to do list now that noodles are out on quest
Great compilation! I just wish the video was made in 4k, I'd rather watch a shorter video but with better quality. Maybe if you are going to make another compilation like this consider including less maps but higher resolution. Also I believe youtube provides higher bitrate for 4k videos.
Thanks for the feedback. I unfortunately can't record at 4k atm and I've already tried to set the bitrate as high as I could since I was already getting blocking in the normal Windows Video player, so I knew RU-vid would butcher it even further with all the lights and particle effects. I'll look into further improving my video quality and making the next one shorter ;)
If you take a look at the comment section you'll notice that I've already answered this exact question a dozen times. I'm sure you'll find a comment where I've put the link to the video containing the hit sound
If the play button is greyed out there's probably something missing, or outdated. Make sure you have the latest version of NoodleExtensions, Chroma, MappingExtensions and the corresponding game version in order for the mods to work properly. There's usually a question mark on the top-right corner of the song that you can click on, which will show you required mods and which ones are active / installed. You can check whats missing there
I love this video, beautifully executed! I downloaded the first song but the mapping is different. Idk if a certain mod is taking over or what the issue is. I have a quest 2 so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with. Any suggestions? When I click to see what extensions I need it says I only need one so I’m not sure what the issue is.
Glad you enjoyed the video :D As for your problem... Honestly, I don't really know, especially when it comes to quest modding. All I can advise you to do, is to reinstall and recheck everything. Make sure you install / reinstall the correct map of the song and check that you are on a version of MappingExtensions that is compatible with your game version. If that doesn't work you may have to get help elsewhere
I don't know much about Quest modding, but as far as I know NoodleExtensions and MappingExtensions can both be installed at the same time (at least on PCVR). A map only ever uses one of the two at a time and will usually tell you what mods it needs to work. If you notice in the bottom left corner at the start of every map I've inserted the map's name, mapper and mods the map needs / recommends using, but if I remember correctly only the first one uses MappingExtensions, while the others use NoodleExtensions
@@lvslol No worries. Always happy to help. However, since you're new, I don't know how far your knowledge goes, what exactly you mean by the "look" of the game or what platform you're running your game on. So forgive me if I explain stuff you already know of. I'm just gonna assume you already know about modding the game. All of these maps are "Modcharts", or "Modmaps" which need certain mods like Chorma, NoodleExtensions and MappingExtensions to work. As long as nothing drastic about the inner workings of these mods changed, all of these maps should work fine on the latest version of the game. These maps do basically all the work from lighting and custom environments to wall animations. If you have all the required mods and the map installed, you should just be able to start the map and have it look like you've seen in the video. All I did manually was turning off the HUD and choosing different sabers. Hope that this helped :)
@@theMJ_bs thank you so much and yeah i understand the modding part but with the latest version it wouldnt let me download the chroma and whenever i tried to download the chroma mod it crashed my game completely ive been looking for help but no one was able to help me
Possibly. It''s just that I not really as informed about these types of maps anymore. So I'd have to get back to researching more recent maps that would generally qualify as being "beautiful".
If you mean these little sliders at the start of each song: No, they are not a plugin or anything like that. I made them myself in AfterEffects for this video
For good video quality you want to both have a high resolution monitor, so that you can natively record at WQHD or even 4K, since those formats will be less compressed by youtube, meaning less artifacts and blocking. But you also want to have your game set up in a way that looks nice. Things like setting the desktop rendering resolution to its max and having Antialiasing to a certain degree can help with the quality of the image one can see on the desktop / whats getting recorded. Personally, I set everything in game to the bare minimum required for the maps to work and for it to look ok when recording, since my pc was not the best. In terms of rendering, I don't quite remember which exact settings I used, but I think I exported the video in H.264 (mp4) format @ 45-50 Mbit/s in PremierePro. Videos will, however, still look blocky af sometimes just do to youtubes own compression of HD videos, especially if you have lightshow enabled. But if you have a WQHD or even 4K monitor, you should have no issues with that. Long one, but I hope it helps in some way...
Can someone help me? I have both Noodle Extensions and Mapping Extensions but Overthinker is missing quite a few of the notes. I did make sure to download the one by Ryger
Make sure that you have the latest version of MappingExtensions and the correct version of the game for the mod (check with ModAssistant). If you are using custom notes / walls: Disable them. You can also try to reinstall the map and plugin manually. If all else fails you can also head over to the BSMG discord server (discord.gg/beatsabermods ) and ask for help there
