This video does help. As you know, here in America, we are getting ready to elect a new president on November 5th. By analogging, I can write my fears or hopes on this election with no one to comment on my thoughts 😂. It's also free, even sketching out my own grid for pros and cons, or, in your case, a budget. No subscription fees and THATS A WIN! It will also be a piece of history for my grandloves someday. I would have loved to had my grandparents thoughts on past elections, what their fears or hopes were in the 1930s!
This video came at just the right time for me. We have property taxes that are due in November and I've been stressed out because I didn't save money for that. I am going to sit down and write out a budget this morning and see what I can figure out. I tend to forget that we can move money around and wait for some purchases that you don't need right away. We got this! Thank you Barry and God bless.
I have reservations about increasing the number of devices, such as calculators and voice recorders, that I need to track. Also too much of the communication I have to do is online. I do use notebooks a great deal now, but, again, a lot of that ends up being transferred to bits and bytes. I find that useful in ways that say a stand-alone voice recorder does not fulfill. It is necessary to recognize that we all have many variables in our capabilities, lives, and work. I cannot see analog as an end in itself. Sometimes analog comes across as an ideology or dogma. It seems to me that the point should be to find the appropriate technologies, analog or digital, that best serve each of us in our particular circumstances.
Norf FC take: I grow my own tobacco, heat my home and cook all my food on a wood stove with harvested "free" wood (not free. Product of my labour. End of) I'm in a poverty terraced house with virtually no garden too so you don't need land, just the will to do it. They might ban them both soon but you'll save more than the stove costs in a year or two and can stockpile tobacco, I think that's legal lol. No I won't stop smoking before anyone says it.
