Rocky Cocky is one very cool Cockatoo.
My son and I were visiting the Macadamia Castle where we met Rocky. I always carry a harmonica in my pocket which allowed this special moment to be captured. Such a magical experience as I think this was the first time Rocky had ever heard a harmonica.
Rocky got a damaged wing from a young age so the Macadamia Castle has been looking after Rocky for many years now. Such a lovely team of animal carers. If you are in the Northern NSW area make sure to visit this special place. Such a fun day out with the family. Rocky loves visitors so make sure to say 'Hello Rocky'.
Thanks to Rumi for capturing this footage on his iphone. He ended up winning mini golf after we met Rocky. Was a very fun day @ the Macadamia Castle

Music can break the limits of language, specially with other who can't communicate in that way, human beings or animals. In this particular situation seems like you really connect with that bird, paying you attention and even waiting your silences for sing. This is amazing Juzzie, I follow you since several years, but I didn't see this before, your creativity always surprise me. One of the most original musicians I've ever heard, honestly. Keep strong man! 😄😄

rocky is very, very cool and you are a lucky man to duet with hi. i imagine his card is full. i could never understand how dogs don't get music. they hear a beating heart in gestation, just like us... they have fun, they have souls - though my dogs will sell them in a hot minute for food. how can they not Feel the rhythm?

@@domestikgoddez9823 Dogs hear higher frequencies, which means they're probably hearing in detail higher frequencies in music. But mostly I think it's just not in their nature. You'll find videos of some dogs that will howl at the piano and similar but they're not like singing/talking birds. The birds communicate through tones and sounds and have a very accurate ability to recreate tones and sounds, so music and rhythm to them is much more innate and their response is like what those birds do naturally just with each other, imitate sounds, bob along. So their behaviours are much more responsive to musical sounds, melodies and rhythms

@@hughman9975 yes but especially Cockatoo seem to have a talent with music . Most of them enjoy dancing . The little ties like whistling and the palm cockatoo use tools for their music .

@@hughman9975 good response there - thanks. i have a howling dog, but music means nothing. i can make up a little song and they get excited singing it to them, but to them it's play time. i played them rhianna's "love on the Brain, James Brown "living in America" and "Jolene" by dolly parton . nothing..i had a great time though..
