It probably has to do with the "hate" or bullying some people were getting after being featured. Specifically, I remember a few years ago, there was a girl featured who did a 'Wizard of Oz' Dorothy make up tutorial and Willam went kinda hard goofing on her.. Within hours her channel was flooded with comments making fun of her and down voting her video. At first she just hid the tutorial by making it private but she kept getting tons of mean comments anyway and all her videos started getting down voted. By the next day she ended up putting her whole channel on private and deleted her Twitter because she kept getting made fun of by people that saw her on the Beatdown.. That's the only specific instance of bullying that I can recall, but there have probably been others.
