Actually, its not just the cinematics, its the variety of the animations, the SFX, the effects itself, compared to YBA, which makes it look heavily stale.
When i get beat downed in yba, I can go make a sandwich, take a nap, go take a shid after the sandwich, and there is atilll half of the cutscene for me to watch.
I was playing 2v2s with my cousin and i wanted to pee so bad then a tusk beatdowned me then i immediately went to pee sinces there's so much time for me to pee there
I was fighting Joe Kujoe with a friend, I got beat downed, literally got a cup of juice and came back, and I was just put down at the last second I came back.
There's like 2 stands in part 3 that does alot of punches, The World and Star Platinum. Meh I guess this is what happens when you don't watch the actual anime
He should be allowed to shoot bullets(instead of skull crusher), and time dodge(like he did against ratt). Oh yea it'd also be cool if SPTW performs a stand barrage finisher against anyone performing an attack move in the vicinity upon stand summon(like he does against aqua necklace and Kira)
I feel like all bd in general should do “X” damage and definitely make them look cooler than just XD fists go brrr. Make the bd more cinematic and comparable to the anime. If the bd is too long like ta4, just reduce the barrage amount but increase the damage from its minuscule 0.4 damage. It’s easy as that.
@@brxi67 i was using cmoon and boxing and quite literally healed more than the beatdown did to me. yeah. its 0.1 damage is so mall that I HEALED in the beatdown WITH PASSIVE REGEN at that. it was very sad and because of that very sorry start, he got clapped :)
@@thunder5045channeltrash I guess but I mean if aut revamp is as good as it seems then yeah but before it was just every other jojo game (not that it will change much in that aspect) wait 5 years to get a rare item get a rare stand then be done with the game.
They are so long and lack any thought or emotion. The pacing in YBA is incredibly long and makes it feel less like Jojo and the beat downs for YBA look like they are there for the sake of being there. The beat downs in YBA feel satisfactory at best. Like beat downs in other games change camera angels (similar to how they looked in the anime or the panels in the manga), play the voice lines during the beat down and have the stands maul their opponent to death in so many unique ways. YBA has none of this, it just feels like a really long barrage that you can’t barrage back.
But you gotta say, AUT really has awesome beatdowns and animations, voicelines etc. especally the one of SPTW and of Tusk Act -4 Just clean animation, cool voicelines and in overall beautifull
The World's ult from N is a great example of how to make a simple ult that still manages to look cool and not overstay it's welcome, while at the same time is viable but not op at high levels up play because of the crossup which is sadly something I can't say about Tusk's beatdown outside of team fights.

AUT is another amazing example of great looking beatdowns and the fact that they animate the bds like the canon counterpart. Theyre short, exciting and dont make you feel like you are barely dealing any dmg. All beatdowns hit around 100 dmg, the only beatdowns that are starting to bore me are Gojo’s domain expansion and GE’s 7 page MUDA(but it is not the dev’s error as they are canonically very long scenes)

The beatdowns in YBA have no importance beyond the heavier strikes. The rest just prevents regen, or significantly lowers it. Therefore, if the barrage was removed, the Beatdown would be better.
Road roller bd concept : the world punches the victim to the ground, then ts’s and uses a much more dramatic beatdown. Update: not sure if its a coincidence that eclipse made a video abt it, if not thats awesome that eclipse is using his popularity in the yba community to hopefully make this happen!
@@livekazumareaction No he said this before. Along as yba is giving him views he won't go to anything else. As much as I want him to play aut when it comes out I doubt it'll happen
@@Woodcassa I never said this, and if you can find it, I'd love to see. I will be playing AUT when it comes out, but I doubt I'll play it for long. I enjoy YBA for it's combat depth and the amount of customization you get with skill points, skill trees, specs, etc. Since AUT likely won't have anything like that, I probably won't be too invested
Being honest I don’t watch the videos, they’re just background noise. However when he said content drought for months I just said “oof”. One of my favorite games ever made and so many agree with me, Team Fortress 2 hasn’t had a major update in years. When each one use to be monthly. All we get now are hats. The Halloween update was cool but it’s probably not gonna be a regular thing, seeing how it’s been almost a year and nothing came of it. We used to get sfm shorts, comics, new weapons, and cosmetics. Now we just get cosmetics.
@WeabooTrash My comparisons with AUT are from about 2 weeks before the shutdown, when I last played. It was better and better anims and overall funner gameplay even if it was broken, it was so absurdly broken that it was fun.
when he mentions the startup ora sound, i feel like star platinums should go like this: scenario 1, you land the hit: the opposing player is punched high in the sky, *HE FREAKING STOPS TIME as a really cool cutscene* and then barraged with heavy punches that slowly get faster with any ora sound that matches it. basically, the heavy punches wouldn't do 10 damage per hit (obviously) but it gradually would get faster and faster, and also instead of reading 0.4 damage all the god damn time, it shows the damage stacked, eg. 0.4 then the next punch the damage is displayed as 0.8 and then seein that huge number thats like 40 + the real heavy punches and seeing that sweet like what is it, 70 damage at the end? hooo boy, that would feel so good to see. scenario 2: you get perfect blocked. simple this time. "Kono powa" and then just leave it at that as a normal parry. The world: The player would use the move, charge at you, but the move is blockable (obviously). and what happens, he punches you straight into the ground, grabs the road roller, beats you up as normal, and at the end he gives you heavy punches. essentially, it is the SPTW beatdown but, all the heavy punches are delivered at once at the end and the barrage has its own section. *the world would do less damage, probably thinking similar to either tusk act 4 but you can't outheal it (why tf can that even happen anyway) because its just a base arrow stand. probably thinking the same damage as Gold Experience* TL;DR update the fucking beatdowns pls
I feel like something they can do to make it more cool is change the camera angles to different spots at different parts of the beatdown. Like when tusk punches them down in the ground you can have the persons whos being bd pov seeing the tusk on top of them punching.
They are so fucking fluid. The camera work is great the punches feel like they have force behind them and throwing the enemy around just looks so cool. In tusks bd the barrage is a bit slow but they can't really change that

Honestly I feel like there are numerous ways you could fix this, to me a good place to start would be to; Shorten some of the beatdowns but maybe buff the damage in line with such so they don't feel like they're doing shit all damage, crop the audio for the beatdowns themes to still have the same "oomph" as the source material but not be a whole 20 seconds long. *If* you want to keep them that long then at least add varying camera angles to the beatdowns to keep it fresh along with maybe some voicelines from the show. Another good alternative would be to work on cutscenes for the beatdowns, yes it's easier said than done and yes it would take some time and work but I feel that sort of thing would be worth it, it adds variety to the game and it would also stop barrages from being boring as hell.
I appreciate you using the Violin Legionary soundtrack in the intro, because outside of the meme, the music people create when basing off this meme do be very fine.
auts ta4 vs Love Train beatdown was cool too it includes the massivly cool chumimin scene where valinetine gets his ass beat after realizing ta4 GOES THRU LT and its 17 SECONDS LONG
7:17 this beatdown is actually based off of one of Vegeta's special moves in a Dragon ball game, i dont remember which one though, and the beatdown in YBA is actually the most canonically accurate one I've seen

I think the TA4 Beatdown should be true to what it's based off of and be 10-15 seconds long with the bad ass voice lines from Johnny, the Ora Beatdown should be shorter and more true to the source, and the 7 Page Muda just needs to do more damage. they all just need way more substance
I think crusaders heaven personally has the best beatdowns, the tusk act 4 one starts off with you starting the barrage by shooting a giant nail that activates it and if it hits it is a bit delayed but tusk grabs the player by the legs slamming them into the floor then raising them up you shoot 2 nail shots then tusk does a barrage about 5-6 seconds heavy punch and spins to end it off with the words "Arigato Gyro" far better than YBA, if you don't see what i mean search up "Crusaders Heaven Tusk Beatdown.
I think free camera is good since sometimes in 2v2 or sbr when you're using it in teamplay you can look around so you know when you're being ganked. Though it will be cool for cut scenes, maybe they should put a button like ger's rtz where you can view the animation.
Styling on your opponent is the only reason I use the Tusk Beatdown, I only use GE beatdown when i get ge grinding, and SPTW beatdown because funni 50% hp one button beatdown. Oh and for the music.
The TA4 BD is actually not that bad, it does like 50 damage or so on the startup, heavy hits in the middle, and finisher alone, so for one move that's really easy to land, that's really good. Issue is landing it makes you wanna take a nap
@@EclipseGameplays The problem here is that when someone is using something like hamon or boxing the beatdown deals absolutely no dmg,it would be cool if they buff the dmg and made the bd a more shorter
in short beatdowns need less time more damage more action like animations and creative combinations of how it is going to look with only the one getting beatdowned and the one beatdowning you getting the cutscene (animation) that would honestly in yba's effects look sick and i would really want to see it happen.
In my opinion, the BD is really long because of balance reasons. Most likely because a shorter BD can be combined with something like hamon and make it ridiculously overpowered. Take example GE's old BD, you could just charge hamon and BD someone and it would so same damage as a barrage, or when Tusk's BD started with the strong punches and then barrage, people would use hamon to enhance the damage so they could do more damage. A simple fix would just to make the BD long and make it do less damage. Or just make it so hamon doesn't boost the move, which is probably gonna be hard to code for only 1 move so it's more simpler to just extend it.
I unironically go get a snack and come back every time i get bd'd in 1v1s, not even a joke i straight up go to the kitchen and get a banana, eat it, come back, and the bd is still going
I honestly think the explosions out of the ground at the end are a bit much. I only say this cuz i love Tusk's beatdown. It's really fun its just it feels kind of unfair at times to the opponent. I want a Road roller legendary finisher for TW
Yeah, but that's the point, making Beatdowns not so op and also make them useful so using them let's you make nice damage without removing the half HP or your enemy

@@dangamez1389 It's likely either that or Uzu legitimately is taking a break and already partially had the update prepped. Due to the break, he might feel bad for only releasing one or two Stands after over a month of near pure radio silence
Well, the YBA joes back then usually use school as an excuse, so if someone doesn't know about this, then please, if you're gonna say "but school more important!1113!!!!" yes, i know it's important, but is summer as busy as school? No, it's free time. Just like the old times where YBA had no updates, today's gonna be another era of no updates!

The infinite spin makes tusk technically do infinite damage in the manga because it never stops until it gets cancelled out by another infinite spin turning the opposite direction
Funny how they make mod specs that are about 1000% higher quality than public specs and stands. It’s literally to the point where there are more mod specs than public specs that probably took way longer to make. It kinda gives you a bad view of the devs when they put more effort into mod specs than the actual game
