I could never get into rts games or the lotr universe, but i very much like the elf race and ents also the graphics in those older rts games were always beautiful, i liked the aesthetic of games like knights & merchants for example, so its sad that games are no longer made in this style of graphics because nowadays everything wants to be photo realistic almost, i look at the game graphics as art and seeing stuff that looks the same as real life isnt really interesting to me, i prefer looking at things that are different and have a style to it that is unique to each game or media i was born in 2005 so basically less than a year before this game from what i see, so maybe thats the reason i cant properly enjoy these games since it wasnt my era but i still like city builders from time to time
I totally agree with you. Game developers only care about their wallets anymore this is one of the main reasons why there are no good games coming out anymore. Your age is not the reason why you could never get into RTS. When I joined Gameranger I was 11. Now I'm 22 so we don't have that much age difference.What keeps you away from RTS is the main logic of RTS games.If there was no patch existed as 1.00 I would never ever have fun from RTS games.Even today I play some different patches but they all have the same logic,their dynamics are almost same as Age of Empires. In 1.00 its completely different even 1 unit can change everything,can destroy anything and game logic based on " Don't let your oppenent do as soon as possible" idea. Other versions/patches are more campy and based on improvement,expansion and units are not that scary and economy speed is 3x faster than 1.00 which makes them focus on spamming heroes.In my patch if game went to more than 10 minutes it means its competitive and fun game but in other versions almost every game is more than 10 minutes. Another reason why people don't interested in RTS is they are very complicated.In my opinion 1.00 is the easiest one to adapt and play.We already play in 3 maps Rohan for 1vs1,Buckland for 2v2 ,Rhun for 3v3.But in another patches or lets say another games such as Age of Empires there are tons of details,maps,knowledges you must learn and it looks like it will take 100 years to learn so thats why I never play ROTWK as competitive and don't even know starting build orders
@@BTannie well true about the age but i tried many times and even when liking it i still just can't, i much prefer mmo rpgs, shooters, survivals and sandbox games over rts games just because i was raised on games like team fortress 2, garrys mod, minecraft and everything i played was similar to it, later i tried sim city, anno, cities skylines, and i liked them because rts are too difficult and im a person who likes to play casually, only shooters are the games i played more competitively but thats because its mostly your reaction time and aim that plays and a little tactics so its not that hard
@@red0tf285 Yeah the games you are raised on has significant role. I still play Cod black ops 1 from Steam I didn't leave my childhood games and Im glad they are still alive
