It's a little suspicious, but lower rated players can have a lot more opening knowledge than they used to. Compare now to 20 years ago, and you'll see 1000 players with opening knowledge of certain openings equal to a 1600 back then. Especially if they learn in a slow time control and then try to play some blitz, so I'd want to see how many blitz games played he has

I expected these to be good but 1 minute into the video and Hikaru barely explains anything. Danya would explain his thought process and the different options available, but Hikaru just says “lets take the bishop”, “Nc3”. Lazy attempt at a Step by Step, this is just your usual recycled content unfortunately

I always saw hikaru as more fun/causal chess content, I would never expect to come to him for lessons/breakdown the way levy/danya or even a chess book would help I just watch hikaru while I eat

Levy, another chess fanatic is much worse a liberal than Hikaru. They are brainwashed. Chess God’s but almost savants, lacking in every other department.
