Still super useful for me. I don't play Wig but my partner started to. Had no clue what her mid to late game gear was. Can't wait to see the updated version. She certainly looks broken af now 🤣. I might be more interested in seeing an S Tier willow series with her new skilltree. Burning bernie + blue flame OP.
@@cheesedust-n3wThe Beefalo and the spear perks are probably the most game-changing. If you're familiar with beefalo taming, it basically gives you infinite duration songs as long as you are using your beefalo; so you can ride the beefalo to always have the healing song ready for any enemy, making a ruins rush really easy. Spear is the late game item. You will probably make it with a construction amulet just because you may want multiple and the recipe is kind of expensive. Otherwise, Commander's helm is pretty good, but remember that it's basically the same as a regular battle helm until the late game. Shield is fun for some players, but because it's an armor source as well as your weapon, you usually won't be able to use it well. Mid-game at best. Mystique resistance is neat, but any of the other perks you may not find useful: stinger songs are rarely important, revival song is super situational, battle song canister is largely unnecessary, and the lunar/shadow alliance songs are too weak. They basically just add an extra player worth of damage for every 8 people you have in a battle.
@@AeyakS I was gonna try to main willow for a while but after the cool down nerf I may actually pickup Wigfrid. Most of my mains require beef taming and I even do it for Wanda just because it makes it easiest to move around anyway. I am going to try and make a build that gets CC by the end of spring. I would be okay with mixing in beef pay plus the songs to make wigfrid s day to day fun and strong. I can imagine having two or more of her confusing songs while having maxed inspiration on a beef to take care of spider mobs for example. I like her because there are a few ways to play her in the early to mid game and her late game actually rewards you super well (elding spear 2, dreadstone armor and enlightened crown).
Man, your guides are excellent. I've been playing this game for over 10 years (I got the original Don't Starve before it even came to Steam, in the days before caves or insanity existed), so it's rare that I learn new strategies or mechanics. These guides though - they always teach me new ways to play! Kudos!
Great video, very informative and gave me a few ideas to save time in my own runs! A note I'd make involving fuel weaver as an ex console player, I would suggest killing at least 1 moose goose before going for fuel weaver (assuming you don't want to void cheese him) and use a weather pain as they're all grouped up by fuelweaver. I agree it's more fun without a weather pain (PC dst is night and day in comparison) but controller targeting is extremly finniky to the point I've had wipes due to my character targeting fuel weaver over hands/shadows and refusing to untarget despite being immune (even across the arena) 39:05 is a good example of when to use a pain as even if the controller refuses to target anything but fuel weaver the aoe of the pain would kill a majority of the shadows with one use before he can eat any. Doing that you should be good with one pane as wigfrid.
The beefalo perk ends up being the most impactful one. Shields won't get used too much if at all, spear becomes a useful mobility tool for Fuelweaver and the main tool for fighting Celestial Champion, the new helmet may see a little bit of use, but it's the same as battle helm until late game. Finally, the shadow song may be seen during Celestial Champion, but it's seriously underpowered at the moment. It's possible the battle stinger cool down perk may be used.
To this day I have no idea how to find the lunar mushtree biome without luck or just scouting the entire map. I can find lunar island, pearl's island, the ruins usually within the first 12 days but the lunar mushtree is never "opposite of the ruins", whatever the hell that means.
