The Tutorial House is actually so nostalgic. I built it in my 1.14 world once. It's a very nice house too with a lot of space

God, I remember those books from back then. I think I was like 8 or something. My mom at first refused to by them for me, but I convinced her and I got the whole 2014 collection. Say what you will about those books, but they did teach me how to craft things lmao. If it wasn’t for them, I probably wouldn’t have ever progressed at all in that game.

1. The 11 vein you found is about as rare as in any other version, since it was not exposed to air. 1.20 only changed ore vein sizes when exposed to air, making them smaller, to combat big caves. 2. You probably knew this, but jack o lanterns are made with carved pumpkins, but the handbook said normal pumpkins, so fair enough. 3. Endermen have a 50% chance to drop a pearl. 6 in a row is equal to 1/2^6% or 1/64% or about 1.6% chance to happen. 4.Jean. Her name is Jean.

THAT TUTORIAL HOUSE. I remember staring at it and counting EACH BLOCK so i could build it exactly like it was in the book. The worst part was when i miscounted and then it was one block shorter than intended 😭😭

For the first 5 minutes I kinda assumed this guy was a big RU-vidr and then he mentioned 100k and I check and he had less than 15k, definitely deserves more

To be fair, back when they wrote this coal was usually visible in big sheets on the side of insane mountains/overhangs that were easily dug into - it was decent advice back then.

I don't play survival often but when I do, I always start with 15 blocks of wood just because I read those books so much as a kid it's been ingrained into my head and it's just automatic at this point

i’d be interested in seeing this done with whatever version was out when the books were published, since they were pretty solid advice for the time iirc. good video :)

I could've sworn they made a book on combat where they did talk about how to fight the dragon, other hostile mobs, and players.

That's how I find diamonds, dig a staircase down, explore any caves I find, and keep digging it down stubbornly until bedrock. Diamonds almost every time.

The recipe is not outdated its just that u have to shear the pumpkin then you craft

I'd argue that the Building Book is the fourth one, and the second one is the combat book, if you look at the last page of each handbook. Edit: I checked again and the Redstone Guide is the second book, combat is third.

Those books are so nostalgic. Had a whole set gifted to me when I was around 10 years old. I hate reading and did even more when I was a kid but I loved looking at those Minecraft books

I was waiting to you to mention how the Combat handbook suggests you do *NOT* attack Blazes with a sword, but instead use *snowballs or water.* Like yeah, use the water THAT DOESN’T EVEN WORK IN THE NETHER

Im currently on cursed seed. Iron is rare and so are caves. At least the region i settled. Roughly 7 days worth searching and i have under a stack. I used map generator and from what i could see my area is bad for caves

I’m enjoying the video, it’s a fun idea you’re doing, but I wish the captions weren’t the way they are. While I can’t tell you how to edit your videos, I think they’d be more enjoyable if the captions either didn’t pop up and cover so much space every other word, or if they didn’t exist in the first place. Again though, aside from that, enjoyed the video.
