I did something similar except I went straight to level 50 before the second mission and completed the game in a f40. I loved that the game doesn't block your progress also I farmed speed traps and the ramps for money. I had ultimate plus parts on my f40 before I even did the second mission
??? I didn't even know you could do that lmao, that sounds so fun. You're definitely right, the freedom they give you in this game feels so refreshing!!
For the people who want to do this challenge, here's a few tips: 1. Be aware of your cars performance level. Its rather useful when its heat level 3. 2. If you are in the city/docks, then use the jumps over the water. Either the one-time follows and break all known laws of physics by flipping 22 times, or they'all go around. Either way, its a great escape place. 3. Grind out the daytime races. Earn as much as you can from all of the available races. 4. Don't try early game drifting without drift parts. 5. Buy the best parts ASAP. 5.5: Don't forget about engine swaps. 6. Out of the 3, the 180SX is faster for the start. The M3 is better in the late-game.
Nsx 180 is very slow before engine swap. Stock 2.0 i4 is a crap. Without swap the best car for start is a Mustang. Overall best car is m3. Btw without swaps and in early game muscle cars make whroom. Especially Plymouth, that could reach 300+ rating with super parts with stock engine.
@@santinodelgado281 I know. Muscle cars are trash while maxed. But I told about sport/pro/super parts while swaps are locked. Muscle cars with stock engines are better than JDM with their stocks. And Mustang is much better than NSX 180 with its 2.0 i4 stock crap. NSX 180 is better after swap.
6:22 handle it like many Fallout challenge runs. If something that doesn’t fit the challenge but is mandatory to progress with no way of getting around it without breaking the game entirely, it doesn’t fail the challenge.
Gotcha, appreciate the advice! I didn't know what approach to take so I did what I thought was best but I'll 100% keep this in mind for future projects! TY!!
Short answer: yeah you can technically use one car, granted the introduction races of the Drift and Offroad portions of game do make you play with a borrowed car. But the rest of the races you can play with your own car from then on. Best to go with either the E30 M3 or S13 180sx as they’re both the fastest starter cars and can reach max performance level of 400+.
Damn, that's a crazy compliment thank you!! That's something I'd love to be able to do effectively and consistently, but I've definitely still got a lot to learn within regards to it. Appreciate the watch!!
I love hearing people do this! The game is forsure amazing with the freedom it gives you. More importantly, good job on getting a regera before mission 2, that must have took some grinding fr good shi
I actually did this on my first play through. I was so excited for the races and missions I didn't even realize I had never bought another car. The 180sx is a beast when you engine swap it and max it out
This video brought me back so much nostalgia from 2019. Purely because I used my 180sx for the entire storyline. I felt it was right to use it throughout the storyline because you could not sell it. It was my only road racing car because my rally car and drift car were different. I basically built a bond with my 180sx building it through the storyline. I put my own livery on it plus a rocket bunny sileighty conversion. Exterior wise it had been the same ever since But before the final mission. I swapped the 345hp 4L v8+ a turbo(I didn’t know it was the P60B40 from the M3 GTR at that time, explaining why it had a gearbox whine). This video makes me want to drive it again
DO IT! But fr, NFS Heat was so special just strictly off the nostalgia basis and with the freedom it allowed you. For sure one of the NFS greats in my books, Hope you enjoyed!!
the engine swaps is the best thing about this game by far, any car is competitive in late game and it made it so fun to use a car i liked the whole game vs the one thats most expensive
Hey man, recently did this challenge with the mustang in my first ever playthrough. Gotta say its really easy, only events i struggled was some drift events which i dont even have to do. Also i did every racing stories and grinded to rep level 50 with only the mustang too. It took 12 hours in total
Love to hear that!! Appreciate you telling me how long it took you, I'm always interested in hearing how long it take different people! Hope you enjoyed the video nonetheless, appreciate you watching man TY!!
You can have million cars in your garage but as long as you use only one, the run is clear. So yeah, this challenge is complete. Pretty easy to be honest since I've tried to complete the game like that in all three starter cars. Also I was completing missions from ingame friends to put all the cars into drift and offroad as well. All of them perform great. The run with Mustang was probably the fastest, although Ford was the first on the list.
The master of this challenge has appeared! Appreciate the watch!!, after some previous comments I definitely wanna do this challenge with the Mustang fosure!!
Payback and Heat are the best modern arcade racers, before those two it was the first Crew. I’m still deeply saddened about how bad they made the Crew games after the first one.
The first crew oh my days, what a game. I'm with you completely, after the crew 1 the IP fell off for me. So unfortunate, but at least the first one was incredible!!
What you can also do is focus on getting all the Ultimate+ parts without actually completing the main campaign missions, I did this on my second playthrough and it was quite enjoyable to see my 400+ Evo9 dust everyone
Should have gotten the Mustang at the start. It starts with over 400HP and due to how upgrade system works in this game, it gets the most improvement per per dollar spend on performance parts among starter cars.
Now that piques my interest! I'll look into the mustang more for sure, ESPECIALLY if it's the best return on performance per input of investment amongst the beginning cars. Thank you for the info!!
Knowing this game a fair bit, and you made the challenge infinitely more difficult. The 180sx is super broken, especially on offroad. The car is like top 10-20 cars in the whole game.
Oh shi I didn't know that? Greatly appreciate the tip man fr!! Harder definitely makes for a better vid but when it comes to my next playthrough I'm fosure picking the 180SX, TY!!
I actually just ran through the whole game on hard with the 180sx. I just got all my ultimate plus parts as well. I was running spirit of Oz to get heat 3 instantly then heat 3 race. After I'll find a circuit by the heat 5 and run that till I'm heat 5 and run that race. Hit a safehouse and repeat. Unlocked 2 ultimate/ultimate+ parts every 20 minutes.
Damn? That heat 5 ultimate parts farm is clever as hell, love to hear you were pushing the game to it's limits. Glad to have you here man, appreciate the watch!!
yea imo the muscle cars r the best all rounders in this game my first play through of NFS Heat i use the 65 mustang and completed with ease i had aux but rarely used them and when i did it was me just no driftin for laughs
Ayy Thank You!! Forsure unbound will be done, 100%! When it's time to do unbound I'll make sure the videos even better as well! Hopefully see you there!!
I think that's one of the nice things about heat, we can finish it with the starter car. I also took the bmw, usually take the German car in games because I don't really like German cars and I have to force myself to use one at least. Anyways I didn't do starter the whole way, I just got enough for the rx7 spirit r and then used that for the rest of the game. Btw, you know how the 2nd league race she says to get your car as good as it can be or something like that? I misunderstood how difficult it was going to be and literally grinded the night time rep and some races until I could fully upgrade the spirit r and then finally continued with the story.
I did this same challenge but with the mustang. I’ll admit that I did have some auxiliary parts on however I was still able to pull it off. It’s a good challenge if you’re wanting to spice things up a bit
100%! The auxiliary parts are a nice touch to the upgrade system so I actually love taking advantage of them, you were completely right to do so, I just knew not having them would make the cops hell for me lmao
My first time playing heat I beat the whole game and got to level 40 something in just the starter M3 never bought another car. I know there’s metas and shit but I love German cars and enjoyed driving the M3.
i did this with my first playthrough lmao, i upgraded my 180sx and used it throughout my entire playthrough not touching or buying another car (during the story; i also had cars in my garage from the deluxe edition upgrade, I also bought cars after i finished the main story)
Yessir! I remember my first ever time playing the game I literally just used to Deluxe Edition Corvette the whole time lmao, then started to buy the cars I liked afterwards haha
M30 will definitely carry you throughout the entire game. I eventually changed to the Z/28 Camaro, but the BMW could've gotten me there with little trouble
Hi man, i did this challenge. And i took the nsx, because it was very Powerfull and you could use it for a long period of the game, after it you swap the engine in a v6 and use it until the game ends btw new subscriber from italy.
I actually did this out of pure boredom once, didn't limit myself as much as this, just kept the 180SX and played the whole story with it, plus got lvl 50 and all ultimate parts without switching my car once, I don't think I even owned another car lol
I put much hour in this game so i'm gonna give some tips First, when you start playing after the first night mission, grind night time until you get drift part and drift zones second, buy a car that really make drifting easy, for me, it was Mitsubishi lancer, that thing is a peak control when it comes to drifting third, use the old race track drift zone to grind, i know it's time consuming but trust me, if you that much earlier in the game, it will be worth it, that racetrack has a jump that make you stay on top of building where cops can't reach, even more, when you have 5 heat, the reward is triple than the usual amount (it really helps because cops teleport behind you when you drifting) fourth, if you gonna grind night time, don't save any money, spent it until you have zero in the bank, that way the cops can't take anything from you except for reps also, for those are new to this game, booster have different uses, twin turbo for racing and supercharger for drifting another car you can buy with low price for drifting is ford mustang 1965, you put on showcase suspension, drift tires, showcase differential, supercharger and that thing is heavenly for drifting, the old racetrack drift zone need at least 70,000 thousand point to get full score, i get 110,000 with this car
Meta-wise, the 180SX is a better all-rounder than the Evo II M3. The Evo II is a bit wacky in terms of ghost handling, but the 180SX is more consistent.
no to flex or anything but... i've managed to deal with heat 5 cops in the stock mustang they give you at the beginning, plus it really doesn't matter what type of car you pick because of how ridiculously easy this game is, still i freaking loved this game i bought it a second time on my pc and tried the unite mod it's like a night and day difference. cool video!
Thank you for the kind words! No problem at all, I love to hear about others' experiences during the game!! Good job, happy to hear you enjoyed the game, been looking into the Unite mod and like you said it's crazy how much it improves fr!!
If you don't want to watch the video, the answer is, yes, you can definitely use the starter car. I did that on my first play through when I got the game on lunch day using the type x
I like with this game is that its doable to use the starter car and just grind the upgrades to compete the entire base game... just don't try and bring it to multiplayer where you got people running rsr's and koenigs everywhere... And I did it with the Mustang so to hell with your take on the matter.
Heat in my opinion was a great NFS game, why? 1: story: even though it was short it had me locked in and i was really interested in it. 2: Customization: honestly this was the best customization i have seen in a racing game in years since the underground and most wanted days, the fact you can customize Ferrari's was a big deal on its own since you know their sensitivity about their cars. 3: Cop Chases: always had me on the egde of seat they were soo nerve wracking at times that i almost cried at heat 5 lol Theyre are alot more things that I love about this game but these three were the ones that i really liked the most
Appreciate the comment!! I'll try out some longer content fosure, if you're able to catch an upcoming video which is a little longer lemme know your thoughts!! TY
This is such a neat video. I was mid way into the vid and I looked at the subs and... the fuck? It should be 211K not 2.11K. AT LEAST 21K. Keep it up brother hope you make it
Every terrain... 😭 the ford mustang is the beat off road car here. Or was that just nfs payback cause I remember the derelict mustang was an insane off road car.
