Lmao rwar glitched and stood in place, took like 3 sneak attacks with the gobi campaign rifle to kill her. I was like wtf was it supposed to be that easy
Took me a dozen times to kill her on very hard mode, with the last try being me using stealth boy, chuging every chems i have and plant some explosive on it's path.
Rawr is actually the easiest bossfight/deathclaw to beat in vanilla. You can use the laser detonator to explode one of the nukes in her den and make the above rocks fall onto her.
I feel like the spirit of a level 1 challenge is doing the extremes of what can be done in a game. I expected you to rush to lonesome road at level one, go through to get to Rawr, and use the weapons you got along the way, that are suited to killing her. with spawning in thousands of caps and the enemy itself through the console, it feels like it's not as pure of a challenge. If you're going to use the console, you might as well fight gojira, or the giant robot-scorpion from Old world blues.
@@lacucaracha111111 Yeah, you can't go through lonesome road without levelling up a few times. I'd imagine you could limit yourself to challenges in areas you can get to without levelling up, or use the console to artificially keep you level 1.
You can also instakill Rawr with the laser detonator at the warhead above her idle spot that drops a boulder on her. The way he did it was more difficult.
If you watched all the way through, for his final "for real" run, he only used the console to spawn her. He didn't even get caps from the Courier's Stash items. I think the Goodsprings rule is fine for Level 1 challenges, since it really narrows down your supplies and environment to the very basics.
"I can't use this spot because the enemy can't get to me. That's cheating, so I'll use this spot where they can't get to me." I dont think the original fence was an exploit that should disqualify.
Although, one could argue some of the console commands can be seen as exploits. I would like to see a version where Rawr is encountered where it actually spawns.
Nah, I love making level 50, maxing out my stats, and doing everything else first to prepare for that before even stepping foot back there. Nostalgia. 😆😆😆😎
Could be done much easier in melee. Plan is simple: start with 10 str, 1 per, 8 end,1 cha, 1int, 9 agi, 10 luck, tag Melee, Lockpick and Barter, traits Heavy Handed+Logan' Loop. Sell some items for a cash and buy some beers. Take Stealthboy from school. Go to Red Rock drug lab and buy Jet, Buffount, Turbo, Psycho. Go to Charleston Cave and take Oh, Baby! using stealthboy. You are set. Just go to any location with Deathclaws, start with Mauler special in VATS and attack helpless deahclaw. You can use turbos in this fight as well - thanks for Logan's Loop it lasts 6 seconds each - long enough to deal some serious damage or mb even kill Deathclaw. And Jack sells 2-3 of them so just use another dose.
This would make for a great science project, Thanks!!! I'm down for the second enemy also I found it funny how a bit past the middle of the video you just kept calling him "he" after referring it to a she.
How in the hell do you have less than 1000 subs? This was some pretty brilliant content. I'm glad the Algorithm brought me to you. I will keep an eye out for more of your content.
Was this not an exploit in and of itself, since you manipulated Rawr's AI in the same way as when you hid behind Doc Mitchell's fence? She was free range on the cliff? I guess I don't understand the choice to count that run versus the fence one, considering exploits (breaking the AI) were used for both? (Genuinely asking- I don't think there's a way to beat Rawr at level one *without* an exploit of some kind.)
I don't think there is a meaningful distinction. He's disrupting her pathing by occupying a spot the AI can't reach him at, exactly like the fence. The only difference is he has to move around a bit to use the exploit.
huh, that's weird, whenever i show up at goodsprings these days there are some guys in huge suits of armor harassing chet about "tech acquistion" or something like that, dunno what that's all about but I hope chet's okay.
I actually think spawning her in goodsprings was a smart move; not only does it make it more similar to the video your trying to one up, but I also think fighting her in her cave would make this nearly impossible without just throwing a bunch of dynamite around a mine
Can the legendary bloatfly get paralyzed? Because if it can and you can reach it at level 1 (not sure if you can) you could spam crits with the sonic emitter. Cheesy, but not an exploit
Pretty cool, but tbh Rawr is the third most powerful enemy in the game, not second. The second most powerful enemy in the game is X-42 Giant Robo Scorpion (if not first tbh)
Fun video. It's cringy to hear you go in and out of "successful gaming youtuber" voice. But you made an interesting video. Great quality. You'll "make it" on RU-vid in time. Most people won't.
As a runescape player, safespotting is part of the game 😂 love new vegas, i have atleast 25 playthroughs, it has been a long time for NV, i think i saw it on steam sale so i go get it again 😊
The tangent about Rawr's gender made me realize how odd the fact that you can loot an egg off a dead deathclaw is. This implies that the Courier, upon killing the beast, proceeded to reach into its deathclussy and remove an egg from its corpse.
@@idunno3721 You can't call it a tactical retreat when he keeps telling you "OoOoOh iM bRaVe, I dO oNe oN oNe FiGhTs oNlY" then he fucking runs. That's not a tactical retreat. Hell, you can even tell him he is retreating and he gets so butthurt over the idea he is retreating that he tries to fucking fight you anyway. This guy is no better than everybody else in the legion.
For anyone wondering, the two folk songs that can be heard in the background are titled "Home on the Wastes" and "New Vegas Valley", performed by J. E. Sawyer and Nathaniel Chapman and J. E. Sawyer and James Melilli, three developers who worked on the game. The songs are parodies of "Home on the Range" and "Red River Valley", respectively. You can actually hear these songs in-game by recruiting the Lonesome Drifter to perform at The Tops.
NO EXPLOITS!!! (except for this one when you don't let her hit you because she's too dumb to jump, which is essentially the same as the fence exploit from before but you need to move)
I'll have to try this at some point. I once did the dead money dlc at lvl 1, that's a torturous experience. I came out the other side at max lvl and I was capable of one shotting death claws with a bb gun.
I thought you can cripple deathclaw legs to inhibit their movement, like maxing out perception and luck or concentrating on their legs without vats at all to do this. Oh well bravo anyway.
really cool and seriously underrated if you intend on being a content creator I believe you have the skills to do it seriously your videos are at 10k-100k sub quality not saying subs are everything but the quality of your video is still really good
I've never actually played New Vegas, but from what I've heard, you can hit rawr with a flare gun, causing her to run under the nuke in the ceiling of her cave, and you can detonate that nuke with a laser detonater, causing a cave in, and killing her instantly. This can only be done in her cave, making it an easy fight, if you fight her in her cave and come prepared.
I personally still consider this an exploit, if you fought her in her lair while using console or mod to stay lv 1 this would quell all arguments like this tho. Even if u bugged her out technically its beating her where she spawns.
Exactly what I thought. If he spawns her in it's no big deal, but what's the real difference between hiding behind a fence where she gets stuck and jumping back and forth between a ridge where her pathing can't navigate to you quickly enough? It's pretty clearly an exploit when she's running back and forth like that lmao
@@stotz4710 an exploit is a situation where the enemy for example CANNOT reach you when you dont move meaning that technically he isnt exploiting as he still leaves a clear path for the AI to follow its just that he out-manevour's her its almost the same argument as saying '' well if you dodge a attack from a enemy you are exploiting since you avoided/prevented them from hitting you ''
@@terra_9832 The only reason she can't reach him is because of the NPC's limited pathing. He is exploiting her limited pathing by literal definition of the word "exploiting." It's not simply dodging an attack--this isn't exploiting a particular flaw with an NPC. The "maneuver" he presents is an exploit itself, for he couldn't simply dodge the attack in this manner without relying on a spot that disrupts her movement.
@@trolliffy115 kinda ironic and funny actually, cause he made it a huge part of the vid's intro then proceeds to mess it up for half of his own video. hahah I dont care about it just something i noticed while watching.
