Anything that came out of that wonderful lady's mouth was always the truth and everything that she ever sang was the truth too! What a beautiful interpretation of this song! I would have loved to have seen her do her night club act. I heard she was one of the best!
She she did it the complete opposite to Dorothy Loudon which is great and did a great job to boot a performer that could have taught so many more for many years taken too soon
Technically it was written by Billy Goldenberg and the Bergmans (composer and lyricists for the OBC), but she gives a wonderful performance. I personally prefer Loudon, and I think she has the raw emotions needed to deliver the real desperation of the song's original intent, but Bea's is beautiful and poignant in a way that is impossible to duplicate as well.
I have never seen a great fan of this lady even when she was Daugherty there is serious get in the garden girls investigated my God she really did this song justice....
