At time marker 1:29 there is an arch - everyone will exclaim "the Arch of Titus." Wrong. It's the Arch of Constantine - built in 312 as a triumphal arch to celebrate Constantine 1's victory over Maxentius, who was Emperor at the time. Victorious generals returning to Rome would pass under this arch along the "Via Triumphalis." Some scholars believe this arch was first built earlier, or at least the panels at the top were pilfered as "spolia" from other earlier monuments, and attached/incorporated in the Arch of Constantine. The top panels do celebrate exploits by earlier Romans, Marcus Aurelius, and Hadrian.
