Style: Introduced as a medium slow swing, it is commonly taken at a wide variety of tempos.
Form: A-B (16 Bars) [8-8]
The head is usually played twice in on the way in and out, and the final 4 bars are often used as a tag ending.

Harmony/Overview: The harmony of this composition is mostly diatonic and consists of mainly Maj7 and min7 chords. The song makes extensive use of the Lydian sound, venturing frequently to Maj7#11 chords outside of the key, helping to harness tension and release throughout the form.
Recordings: This song has been recorded over 50 times to date and it is one of Sam Rivers' most well known compositions. It was first introduced on his debut album Fuchsia Swing Song in 1965. Many notable musicians such as Joe Henderson, David Friesen, and Brad Mehldau have recorded it since.
